ac milan 10-11 home kit

The new Milan 10/11 home kit was officially presented yesterday, and is available HERE. The first to wear the new kit was the Emirates Airbus A380 that landed at Malpensa International Airport.

Milan, Adidas and Emirates organised a truly special event for the official presentation of the Rossoneri home kit for the 2010/11 season. The getting together of the top sports brand, which recently emerged as champions from the recent World Cup, the number one airline from the Middle East and the most successful club in the world was too much of a unique moment to remain within traditional grounds, so adidas, Emirates and Milan came up with something much more:  the first picture of Milan's official shirt for next season appeared in all its glory in an enlarged version on the new Airbus A380 that arrived from Dubai and arrived at Malpensa International Airport, the first official flight to Italy by the company from the United Arab Emirates' colossal aircraft.

Following the spectacular event was His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of the airline and the Emirates Group, Milan Honorary Vice-President and managing director Adriano Galliani, adidas Italy managing director Jean Michel Granier, accompanied by the President and CEO of SEA Milan Aeroports Giuseppe Bonomi; the Rossoneri squad was led by coach Massimiliano Allegri and captain Massimo Ambrosini.

Emirates, who agreed in February to become official shirt sponsors for five years, have decidd to showcase the new Airbus A380 on the Dubai-Milan route. During the event, the guests and the team had the chance to step on board and admire up-close the biggest aircraft in the world, thanks to a visit inside the aeroplane organised by Emirates.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum said: "The official presentation of the Fly Emirates AC Milan shirt today, which will be admired by everybody the world over, captures our passion for football and for Italy. We rendered the occasion of our new agreement for five years with AC Milan memorable with arrival of a A380 in Milan. And by doing so, we will be able to offer our passengers the chance to try out our new super-jumbo for the first time flying from Italy."

Adriano Galliani, Milan Honorary Vice President and Managing Director said: “This spectacular presentation of our new kit encapsulates the philosophy of three top companies in their respective sectors, ADIDAS, EMIRATES and MILAN, to perfection. I am sure that it is the first time that such a large aircraft has worn a football team shirt - all of which will provide us with further impetus in the near future.”

The Milan players wore the new model of the shirt at the airport and showed the Adidas creation off to the press. The Technical Sponsor have used the TECHFIT™ PowerWEB system in the new home kit, the most innovative technology used in sports apparel, which thanks to special design allows record breaking performances.

Jean Michel Granier, Adidas Italy Managing Director added: “The launch of the new Milan shirt is always an important moment for adidas;  the apex of the a creative process that has lasted almost two years. It is also a huge responsibilty because for millions of people, in Italy and in the world at large, the Milan shirt represents much more than a simple sports garment: it is a symbol, a sign of belonging, a second skin.”

The most technological kit in the world with the new sponsor will make its debut in the Emirates Cup, which will be played in London this weekend. Playing for the prestigious trophy, other than Milan, are Arsenal, Olympique Lyon and Celtic.

The sleeve design on this template is not one of my favourites, but the kit is nice overall. Good use of gold again by adidas.

Nice & Great Colour Combination made by Adidas, Black - Red - Gold. A good Idea for the next Germany's Away Shirt.

I like this, prefer Milan in thicker stripes, but it's almost the same kit they wore in 1998.

Possibly the worst Milan shirt ever, to be honest. Never before has there been a Milan shirt with only two stripes of each colour on the front, it's terrible.

That's what you get with Adidas, Nike and Umbro though, a template. Can't see why everybody's drooling over their shirts this year, they're all the exact same as each other. Nike and Adidas are putting the usual garbage out, while Umbro are going for the faux-vintage look, using the exact same template and material as their England shirt. Give me Kappa, Lotto, Diadora, Macron or Errea any day of the week. Or, even better, bring back Ennerre, Hummel and ABM.

i think fly emirates really suits milan, wasn't sure of bwin since the first kit they have launched with. interesting fact is that, milan reached to the top of champions league when they changed the shirt sponsor and had gold trims like that on home shirt in 2007

Huge pompom about an expectable design. Not a bad execution, yet would have wanted it to be more progressive in style.

A very nice Adidas shirt (better than the one from last season). With some exceptions, Adidas uses to make great kits for Milan.
The club colors help a lot to make the shirt look nice and i'd only design more thinner stripes on the shirt instead of only two black stripes. But it's a great kit, like the one Adidas made for Milan two years ago.
