look this is a site for football kits and proper football related news, if so many football fans are out there thinking football is about fun and jokes remind yourself of that when you have travelled the length of the country to stand in the wind and rain and watch your team lose, lets see how fun you think it all is then. it used to be a serious sport and if you ask the professional athletes on hundreds of thousands of pounds a week if they think its a bit of fun im sure you would look a fool. its complete trash for total idiots if anyone wore that to a game they would be hounded out in shame

What the F**k are you on about. if you asked a proffesional footballer if its a bit of fun they would probably laugh at you and your pathetic life, they get paid to kick a ball around. get a grip and a sense of humour. its only football. i might get one ;)

Lighten up its funny, just like soccer! 11 over paid boys with but a brain cell between them kicking a bag of wind around a field. Then when they lose all the fans burst into tears, lame. I`d rather be a Star Wars geek anyday, oh yeah I am.

It's not like a football team wil be wearing this, while playing, you're not being forced to buy it. It's nostalgic for the greatest trilogy of cinematic history and a bit of a laugh at the same time. Who are you to judge who is 'proper footballing names' anyway? Plenty of Football legends have been on Soccer AM. So you manage to badmouth Adidas, Star Wars and Soccer AM all in one comment? Nice! I'm sure there's alot of people who would dsagree on that one, you cabbage!

I agree this is a new low for adidas originals.
I suppose it could be the begining of the end.
They keep lurching into the past. The shirts when worn by the likes of Germany[away] and Holland[home] were really good, as was the AC Milan kit of that era , late 80's. But Star Wars was the late 70's, American & had nothing to do with soccer [ as George Lucas would have called it.].
Who will wear these, the same thirty somethings that buy old Germany tracksuits? It is not funny just sad.
Adidas should get back to modernity it is 2010, not 1977.

You really need to stop taking life so seriously. CHill out my friend. Adidas have released some T-Shirts that are quite humourous. You don't like them there is no need to publis an essay of your hatred! Just don't buy them. It's that simple! I feel really sorry for you if adidas' ethics have only just gotten to you after so long. This must be a torrid time for you.

they are based on classic designs. Holland used to wear the second design in orange during their famous 1988 European Cup win.

some people here are a lil ignorant. Adidas and Star Wars got into a partnership to do promotional stuff for both brands and whatever else,it may not make sense to have football and star wars together but marketing wise its pure genius. they could have done better with the shirts but ill still get them just to Celebrate Originality..

this is simply casual design derived from a globalized sport. reminds me of late 70's & 80's pop marketing.
this is dope, Adidas is big and they are just satisfying a pop culture demand.
i wouldn't mind seeing a rocky vs drago kit or a rocky vs apollo kit.
maybe the teenage mutant ninja turtles team kit.
maybe a pulp fiction kit: Butch, Fabienne, Jules, Vincent, Mia, Marsellus, Jimmie, The Wolf.

I don't really care either way what is on the shirt or what it's about. I like Star Wars stuff.

My only concern is that Adidas, regardless it's Originals/retro designs, has continued to show that their kit designers are crap. Good lord, Macron are starting to look better.

In a world of famine, war, exploitation, greed, hatred, ignorance, and natural disaster. It's comforting to know that the anti-fun brigade is alive and well and hard at work so that everybody can be completely miserable all the time. Thank you for trying to spoil other people's fun, I salute your Killjoy-ness!

That said I won't be getting one of these shirts because I hated the Star Wars movies.
