Nice and clean, striking, I like it.
I am not 100% convinced by the badge or the X-Factor still cross on the chest, but other than that, one of the most striking shirts from Adidas this year.

Ajax have something of a tradition lately of using X patterns or design touches. It relates to the city flag of Amsterdam:

Very nice. Kept it relatively basic given the extravagant colours. The shading on the front, the v-neck and the Amsterdam credo on the back: beautifully subtle.

Looks cool, but makes me think of Chelsea's current away too much. Hopefully, it won't be as dark on TV.

It's really a nice kit! I hope that Ajax will win the cup final and the competition in this beautifull shirt. Also i'm glad the shirt is not striped like chelsea this year.

I wonder why adidas chose white socks for this kit. Dark blue would have made more sense i suppose. Black socks on the home kit perhaps?

Same thing for me, dark socks would have looked much better. This is still a nice kit though, even if I'm not a fan of that collar and X-font.

The socks will be blue, the white socks will only be used against opponants with dark socks.

I don't think Ajax would ever wear black socks for the home kit, if they need to change they usually use a red change pair.

Actually they sometimes play with black socks and the home jersey in some away games against teams that have white socks.

I'm thinking SC Heerenveen or NAC Breda.

No, ajax would never play with black socks whilst in the home kit, unless the opposition kits clash

We only use the white socks against the "kk kakkerlakken" (feyenooit). Blue is standard.

Don't like shirts with "electricity". Maybe it was better with white...
But all in all it's not a bad shirt, I've seen worse away shirts.

Next year I hope it will be black & red again, like it should be.
I won't buy this one though.

if this was in all red or all royal blue, and had the pre 1990 crest, this would be awesome, but the colours ruin it. The design of the crest on the Ajax shirt needs either changing back to the pre 1990 crest, or preferably an update of that crest, not the soulless one the club uses nowadays

The socks are actually dark blue like the rest of the kit:

http://www.ajaxshowtime.com/hoofdnieuws/39864/nieuwe-uitshirt-onthuld.html

Watch he video there, the socks are blue.

Also, what you can't see on these pictures is that the yellow details all glow in the dark.

LOL.
Those details are not glow in the dark. It's done with a black light. It makes light colours look like they glow.

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of these colours. imo it looks a bit cheap, would be better with red.

I agree that the kit looks best with blue shorts & socks, but I saw them play against Feijenoord today with white shorts & socks, so that's too bad.

This template shouldve been used for the Scotland Home Kit. That X design would fit perfectly. Just some colour tweaking and itd be great.
