Not bad, there are not too many ways to mess with a traditional design...

And is the Amsterdam crest sublimated into the stripe? If so it's a nice touch.

It doesn't look like there's much changed, but for some reason I really like it. Can't put my finger on why...

The red stripe usually goes all the way up.

everybody is complaining with the big Kappa logo's on their shirts but all the adidas teams have the stupid three stripes on their shirt.

I loath those, especially when they are broken or have a weird ending

I was hoping for something with the old crest

They've ruined it even more than last year.

The red stripe should always be unbroken from the bottom to the top. Yet they've ended it for some stupid white stuff. You can hardly even see it's an Ajax shirt, it might aswell be an AZ shirt. The stripe is too thick, just for Aegon, and so it's almost a red shirt with white sleeves and white shoulders. and the striped

I love this shirt, this one looks just like the last time Ajax won the championship. But there is one small little thing I don't like....I hope the X is not big when you see it in a game.

YET AGAIN Adidas have made a mockery of the Ajax jersey, did a F**enoord fan design this?

Ajax fans complained about the stripes on the shoulders last year because it was a big break from tradition, which is important for the ajax fans considering the history of the club. Now Addidas decides to respond by making more space for the stripes by breaking the red stripe off earlier towards the colar, what a bunch of schmucks,

looks nicer when it had abn amro going up vertically,

also will suarez still be in that shirt next season??

shame when really nice shirt designs get changed and look boring and unfinished

The red stripe is too big to fit Aegon, I really miss the sideways sponsor, because it allowed the shirt to be more balanced between red/white...

i think the center red part is a bit wider, i believe that and the no collar are the changes made to the kit. like it.

Sorry, but this is poor. The red bit that is the traditional Ajax bit for the kit, looks...Wrong the way the collar is positioned.....Not a fan...Really not..

I like the X detail from the Amsterdam flag, nice touch, but Ajax were wrong to lose Abn Amro, that sponsor was iconic on the kit and was recognised the world over...it probably gave the bank a higher profile by being on the shirt, for me Aegon doesnt sit well at all, im probably being biased as I grew up watching Ajax/Abn Amro on all the kits!

I dont think Aegon or Ajax care how it looks, if it gets either enough money, it'll suit them

Ajax have the best kit of any football team, so I have to say I like this.
But why do Ajax always make the red stripe as thick as it is? If you look at the shirts from the 70s Ajax had a white shirt with a thinner red central stripe, whereas now it's like a red shirt with white sides and sleeves. It's a small difference but it's the difference between an iconic shirt and an ordinary one.

Looks very nice. I can't understand why some people complain about the three adidas stripes For God's sake, Adidas is the brand that produces the best football shirts (look at the Milan, Benfica, Liverpool and Bayern shirts). Every year Adidas makes lots of different shirts for lots of clubs. Look at Puma: only one or two shirt models per year and all they do is to change the color according to the teams.
The Adidas stripes are what differences their shirts from others and I can´t understand why people don't like them. For me, one of the best Adidas ever produced is the Benfica home shirt 2008-09 (last year's away shirt and the 2010-11 1961 european champion commemorative shirt ain't also bad).

I think people (including me) object to slripes on Ajax shirts because the Ajax shirt design is so unique, perfect even, that any additional detail, be it adidas stripes, umbro diamonds, massive kappa shoulder logos, cheapens the shirt and spoils something so unique. Adidas stripes are fine on any other shirt (indeed they 'made' the Holland shirts of '74 and '78, West Germany 1990, Liverpool 1998, amongst others) and for me adidas are the classiest kitmaker going but for Ajax there should be no stripes.

It's a shame from both Adidas and Ajax (to allow this).
The Ajax red stripe is broken up in favour of not broken the adidas stripes. through the shoulders.
We should boycot to buy this shirt this season.
