FC Alania Vladikavkaz used the new 2010 home football kit made by Umbro in the first match of the new season against FC Saturn Moscow Oblast.

Previously, the club was known as Spartak Ordzhonikidze (1937-1990), Spartak Vladikavkaz (1990–1994 and 2006), Spartak-Alania Vladikavkaz (1995-1996 and 2003-2006), Alania Vladikavkaz (1997-2003 and 2007).

Smashing. Shirts look classic without a sponsor.

A bit JJB Sports Teamwear-y though...

Brilliant. Makes adidas look tosh.
Trust me, you aren't gonna miss teammates wearing THAT kit.

Actually, when I think about it, it's such a happy kit

Very Striking. OK, the basic design is nothing special but the overall effect is very good.

Not a big fan of the shorts and back numbering, but that probably wasn't Umbro's fault. Not bad otherwise.

in the bottom picture, why are number 32's badges in a different place on the shirt than the others? nice kit

In pic two, gotta love #18 blowing a snot rocket. Not a fan of the colors, but I won't take away the amazing quality of these shirts. Umbro have done it again.

Er, look at the last pic..

Is it me or is the Umbro logo on the player on the left stitched between two colours, whereas his teammate in the same pic has the diamond entirely on a red band on his shirt?

I'm slightly high so, apologies if wrong! but if I'm right that is b-grade sloppy work from Umbro.

no, it's not just you. and like mr absinthe remarked, the same jersey has the club crest in a different place than do all the others. reject top?

The whole of 32's shirt is wrong, maybe he is superstitious and wanted both Umbro and the Badge to be equal in red and Yellow? Weird though

Nothing to do with the kit - though thats a good looking crisp design..

But whats the deal with so many name changes for one team??! How bad would that be for the sellers of merchandise etc

It's madness I tells ye!!!!

This is the way it is in Russia, due to constant changing of owners and clubs needing money they change their names as to get around licensing laws and also sometimes to incorporate sponsorships. Luckily as far as merchandising goes teams such as Alania have never had a large commercial so only really fans of the club itself feels the bite when they change names.

way to go umbro!
while promoting this great looking shirt (i must say, literally)
you've also promoted mizuno, adidas and nike
way to de-advertise yourself!
