Arsenal revealed their new strip for the 2010-11 campaign and, as revealed earlier on FSC, they are going back to the 70's, with an environmentally-friendly twist.
Arsene Wenger's side will return to the familiar and popular block red body with a white round neck collar and white sleeves, and every shirt is made entirely from recycled polyester crafted from up to eight plastic water bottles as part of Nike's 'Considered Design' programme.
The Dri-Fit fabric is claimed to be 13 per cent lighter than previous kits, and available here.
Theo Walcott, said: "The colours are very traditional, it feels nice and it's made from recycled plastic bottles so what more can you ask for?"

Good thing I'm not an Arsenal supporter. COYS!
Not that I'm bashing this one, I'd be thrilled with it if I were a Gooner. Actually, I'd probably just buy the retro 1971 shirt though as they don't have ugly sponsors logos and have the old sstyle cannon on it. Also, it's £10 or £15 cheaper...
I'm glad your not a Arsenal supporter too! You obviously don't know anything about Arsenal's history. This is what gooners want.
I love tradition, well done!
Also, it's nice that Arsenal gave the world cup watchers something to do.
really elegant, shorts and socks too.
i hope uniteds kit is a simple classic design
I thought the same thing!!
so did i my first thought was 'hey i doesnt adebayor wear predators?' lol
Really? my first thought was "wait, doesnt he play for city?"
That being said, with 2011 being Arsenal's 125th anniversary, I just wonder whether Nike is planning on fleecing the fans by releasing this same shirt in January with "125 Years" stitched on somewhere. They've done it before with Fulham:
http://www.footballshirtculture.com/09/10-kits/fulham-2009-nike-130th-anniversary-shirt.html
I hope I'm wrong and that the 11/12 shirts will pay some sort of homage to the 125th anniversary.
From Arsenal's website:
*The new Arsenal home kit is for one season, with a commemorative kit being introduced to celebrate the Club’s 125th anniversary to coincide with the 2011/12 season.
im united fans, and i hope Man.United get a elegant design like arsenal does...
great design...
f*ck ar2ena1
Could you speak his native tongue?
Regardless, I'll likely be buying at least the long sleeve version, possibly both. Great looking shirt with WHITE SLEEVES!
Make the most of it gooners, next year you'll probably get the same ridiculous squiggly-line crap as everyone else.
Go to the hell! censoreding United!
Liverpool, Leeds, Man City, Derby, Birmingham, West Ham, West Brom - all trace their classic shirts from this point.
I like this kit but I think hooped or red socks would have provided more balance.
Liverpool: 6 titles, 7 cups
Leeds: 2 titles, 4 cups
City: 1 title, 5 cups
Derby: 2 titles
West Ham: 3 cups
West Brom: 2 cups
Birmingham: 1 cup
Football fans like kits that hark back to their glory days.
Great kit, my only slight grumble is on the ss version the red sleeves look a tad wide. they might grow on me tho.
I would go for a Ls version if I were a gooner but I am just a goon
9/10
What is the cuff all about? Too thick!
Go Barca ??
Just cause some stupid rumour rags can make money by fabricating bogus stories about Cesc leaving doesn't mean it's true. Barca already bought David Villa this summer, and took out a €150mil loan to pay player wages last month, so I don't see the funds for a massive Cesc bid. He's a gunner at heart anyways.
hence all the players that are in the shoot all didnt go to the world cup or went out after the group stages.
I just wish the socks were red too.
1) I loved the photoshopped mock up with the old cannon and the small Fly Emirates logo underneath.
2) Put a gold stripe down either side of the front of the body and you have a previous home shirt.
3) Nike will fleece us again as it clearly states on the topic thread and on Arsenal.com this shirt is 2010/2011 home shirt. They'll call this an anniversary shirt, then give us another new one next season.
Fans complain when there's a new kit every year, then complain that it doesn't change enough. Who says you're expected to buy a new one every year? It's not the companies putting pressure on fans to buy new shirts every year, its yourselves
ok, maybe he should have said "very little difference".
It is a nice one though. Possibly the best Arsenal kit Nike have produced for them.
This season we have awesome kits and I'm damn proud of this.
Thank you very much, I'm definitely buying one.

and no crappy sponsor.....
At least at Nike/Umbro, every team gets a personalized design. Compare Arsenal home to Werder Bremen home, Juve away, and Inter home and you'll see that, like 'em or not, some thought went into these designs at least...
BTW, why doesn't Arshavin's socks have Nike logos like the others?
P.S These photos don't show that there is a darker shade of red on the shoulders. They look amazing. Watch the video here http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/6135991
I think it's to do with the size of the socks he was given, if you look closer he has his folded down alot more than the other three. Could be that he's just folded down over it.
German Arsenal Friend
Arsenal fans should be pleased...
Gunnes done a good job on getting close to this

No big surprise, and it seems like there's not much difference to last years jersey, but that's exactly eat: they kept it simple and traditional yet again, and that's what makes this jersey - like most of their past jerseys - one fine thing: the definition of a classy football uniform!
Simply brilliant,... as always...
This shoot was done a couple of days ago. He couldn't be there because there's a small matter of something called a World Cup going on. Same reason van Persie isn't there too, in case you were wondering if he was leaving too.
I think it would look even better if they lose the shield on the club crest and just have the cannon. Just my opinion though......
I love the "victoria concordia crescit" detail sticked behind the badge... Different and I think a nice touch.
Looks like North London have the best kits this year
good job im not
