no logo?

nice retro look tho. retro is getting so played out now, we should just stick to modern

This is gonna take some getting used to. I would be alot better if it didnt have the random white stripe across it. This is a bad indication for future Nike kits

the white stripe makes this kit I think, this is brilliant design, real classy. I think the reason why there is no badge is that it may have the coat of arms of Australia, the southern cross or a new Aussie FA logo, and they havent decided yet

I think each kit provider are in a competition to see who can make the most uninteresting, bland, boring kit. Some retro kits can look nice, but the fact that this kit doesnt have an emblem or anything on it is just disrespectful to the AFA.

I like it. I mean, its Nike and the usual simple and uninspired look but for some strange reason this gives the Aussie´s kits something worth looking at!

Also, am I the only one who sees some Umbro inspiration going on here? (which Kappa went with as well)

0 # grant bentley 2010-02-02 18:48
well this could be due to the fact that umbro is owned by nike, disregarding the fact that the tailored part of umbro is nothing to do with nike, nike have the umbro style still in them .. umbros design in my point.. Beautiful kit though .. I LOVE It!!!!

I like it. It's definitely a different look for the Aussies than I've seen. I don't mind the white stripe because without it the kit would have looked bad. Definitely unique.

Gosh, this is actually a bit of a cracker. Could be the yummiest kit at the finals.

Is that strips of velcro on the sleeves?!

I bet this is a good indicator for what the Portugal kit will be. Just make it all red with green across the chest and add the crest.
I'm not too thrilled by the single stripe on the sleeves.

Rather bland...

Looks ok, but I hate the design of these new Nike kits, the single stripes on the sleeves looks totally out of place IMHO. The Adidas Techfit kits are heaps better!

If the wallabies are ditching canterbury, then it's not impossible for the socceroos to ditch nike if the sales of these jerseys are not as 'expected'.

I do agree that adidas is much better. at least what they could've done with this template is remove the band aid on the sleeves and put some thinking into the horizontal white stripe - make it something like Man Utd/Melb Victory's V shape stripe. They could've also kept the current semi-raglan sleeves as oppose to going back to 2006's world cup sleeves.

Nice. I've been waiting for ages to get a glimpse of the new Aussie kit. Not at all what I expected but it looks good. It'll be interesting to see what colour socks we have. I think the first world cup we played in we wore white socks and with the white stripe on the shirt I guess it could be a possibility for a comeback. After two very boring shirts I think this is a step in the right direction.

Is incredible how the Brazilian latest kits are simplier and don't have any "exclusive" element in it... And Australia gets a brilliant one!

I really like the new colours - this time with a bit more green.

But really the white horizontal stripe in and the band-aid on the sleeves are a bit excessive. I hope that white stripe could've been more like Melb Victory or Man Utd's 'V' shape design...

I hope they'd still keep with the screen printed badge coz compare that to embroidered ones I think it's neater and more detailed.

And lastly it probably won't happen but I hope they won't charge $130 like the current ones are.

P.S. Why the air-bag-blown up look on these "prototypes"?

Adding on to the the post...

I thought the overall design was really horrible (maybe from the blown-up airbag look?) but when you look at it from afar it is actually quite good looking - especially how they've proportioned the green and yellow. Now they could've just do something about that big white stripe in the middle (mentioned above), and also keep the current raglan sleeves (looks more sportier and "wholly" designed) rather than this new design (and 2006's) which resembles a gym singlet with sleeves attached.
