10/11 Kits Benfica 10/11 Home Adidas Football Shirt
Benfica unveiled the new 10/11 home football shirt made by Adidas.
The emblem is composed of an eagle, a shield in the club colours of red and white, and the acronym SLB for "Sport Lisboa e Benfica" over a football, all superimposed over a bicycle wheel, which was taken from the Grupo Sport Benfica emblem. The club motto is "E Pluribus Unum," Latin for "Out of many, one."

It's an historic badge, but it's form is not fitting with the rest of that clean kit.
Collars are clearly in this season, as are sashes, and the whole "classic" inspiration thing.
I like it and all, but some variation would be nice

Not to mention it's actually very debatable that Salazar even supported Benfica. Many people will often mention this but there is no proof whatsoever that he even supported Benfica. Fact is he's from Algarve which is the richy part of town where Sporting is loved. There's also many, many people, players, & former staff members alike you have said Salazar's team was Sporting. Only FACT is no one will ever know besides the people who knew him personally. Salazar rode successful coattails in order to deflect attention from other issues. Look up the facts & you'll find that Salazar hardly did Benfica favors. Even forcing them to change their original anthem.

That's funny. Last thing I remember is Benfica lifting the league title. And by your logic FC Porto has no past whatsoever. Only a corrupt President who did what he had to to win. Before PDC = Non existent. After PDC = 20+ championships. Coincidence? And all while Benfica was in financial crisis. Portugal's real team is back now.. you can go back to mediocrity. Don't be surprised if the bandwagon gloryhunters jump of the farmer wagons to support the nations most prized club.

Another thing: why one star next to the Benfica's logo? Ok, Benfica already won 2 European Champions cups (was another 5 times in the finals), 32 national championships, 24 Portugal cups and 2 portuguese league cups, so there were not stars enough to put on the shirt. But why one and not two representing the European Champions cups already won?
