blackburn rovers 10-11 umbro away kit

Blackburn Rovers unveiled the brand new 10/11 Away Kit made by Umbro in which players and fans will hit the road next season.

The stylish kit is part of the 'Tailored by Umbro in England' range and will see Rovers returning to a red and black away kit, that has proved so popular with fans in the past. The kit will go on sale from Thursday 29th of April.

Key midfielder David Dunn and striker Nikola Kalinic both gave the new kit the thumbs up when they posed in the kit earlier this week. Indeed, both the design and the fabric got a huge seal of approval from all first team squad members.

Thanks to Danny

Better than their current away kit. I wish Umbro would take a few more risks though.

Better than this seasons dreadful away shirt, but i bit boring. Why don't they may more of the club tradition and have red and black halved shirts?

What was the away kit they had when they won the old Division 2 title in the early 90s? (the season they had David Speedie). I remember that one being a cracker.

I'm sure it was the yellow kit with blue trim made by Ribero (whatever happened to them?). BTW it was the play-off final they won that time (in 1992), not the Division 2 title.

I like it as a shirt just hope that it isn't the template we will see for all umbro kits . This kit will not be good as a swans away kit and umbro might do that cause 09/10 swans away kit was red and black so it will save them time like making the swans away shirt exactly the same as forest home shirt. btw LFC13 i agree black and red halves FTW

You like it as a shirt? But not as.... What? A truck? A business card? The membrane that surrounds a human foetus? You don’t like it if it’s going to be used as a hang-glider?

Nice and simple, I like it.
A huge improvement on this season's effort.

Generally speaking Umbro's recent "back to basics" approach seems to be producing decent kits (particularly in the case of city, England & Ireland)

Its a bit underwhelming given the recent standard of Umbro kits. I fear that the rest of Umbro's English club contracts will get similar half hearted efforts

Thumbs down for me

Not bad, at least its not clashing with the home kit (unlike the last two away kits for blackburn.

i know this might have been a bit of a lazy option, but perhaps they should have perhaps taken the new shirt for Atletico Paranaense and placed a blackburn crest on there and sponsors too.

the red and black as the away would have been brilliant

@bwfcnever,

Yes it would have looked so much nicer if rovers had thrown some random reebok lines all over it, or maybe a sports bra design like Notlob...

It’s a great shirt. Best we’ve had since the Red and Black halved shirt.
For the people who dislike the shirt and say it’s boring, I bet they would be loving it if it had a Nike logo on it and a Man Utd badge.

Also in reply to bwfc4ever, how can you laugh at our shirt when Boltons kits have been a complete mess over the past few years.

you say that, but Man Utd's kit will be very similar to that description from what I've heard...

I'm definitely not an Umbro fan, but this looks like a nice little kit. It's not mindblowing, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it either.

the tailored by umbro range is really good. only england and manchester city were considered good enough to wear it. good to see blackburn now included in that list

yes ok do that, cos the kit matters as you watch ricketts head past his own hapless goalie. that was a nice day out

Scoring a headed own goal from thirty odd yards is even funnier when your team wears a barcode kit!

Nice simple kit, tiny bit reminiscent of the away kit Blackburn had in 2002.

Anyway anyone saying stuff about Man U copies, look at Blackburn's change kit history, red and black was a common choice whenever they couldn't wear the halves. Much better than this season's pointless clash away kit.

I'll carry on wearing the red and black halves shirt thanks, it's a bit too much like Man U for my tastes. I'd like to see red and black vertical stripes again please, they were awesome too.

Right, that's enough time out, I suppose I'd best go back to shagging my relations or something (SRSLY? At least I'm not from Noblot...)
