blackpool 10-11 Carbrini home kit

Blackpool faced Tiverton Town on Friday night in the club's first pre-season friendly following their promotion to the Barclays Premier League. As well as sporting a new shirt manufactured by Carbrini, the club also has a new shirt sponsor.

Short-term lender Wonga.com have won the race to have their company logo on the front of the famous tangerine shirt for the historic 2010/11 season.

Pool chairman Karl Oyston expressed his delight at securing Wonga.com as the club's new shirt sponsors : "We are very pleased to be entering into our new partnership with Wonga.com.

"We had several people who expressed an interest in the shirt sponsorship following our recent promotion into the Premier League, but we were able to come up with a deal with Wonga.com that suits us both. I am delighted to welcome them on board.

"They have a number of plans ranging from half-time competitions to sponsoring a player of the month award, and I know they want our supporters to be involved in the partnership. I am delighted that their sole focus is to work with us and enjoy the season."

Errol Damelin, founder and CEO of Wonga.com, said: "We are still relatively young but we're growing fast and have big ambitions, just like Blackpool. Their rise through the divisions and fairytale promotion last year was an inspiration for football fans all over the country, so it's a great fit for Wonga.

"Seasiders are renowned for their passion, something we have bags of too. We want to help make this campaign exciting for everyone and have plenty of ideas for making a visit to Bloomfield Road a day to remember. It's sure to be a rollercoaster of a season and we can't wait for the ride to begin."

Thanks to James and Mike

So out of the profit they make from loans to the needy and desperate at 2680%APR they sponsor premier league footballers who earn more a week than their clients do in a year.

Absolute disgusting. Blackpool should be ashamed of themselves

The fact that they are a small brand should not stop them designing a decent kit. Good design costs no more than crappy designs like this. It's awful.

Come to think of it, why don't Reading wear red? Why don't Queens Park Rangers wear crowns on their heads? How come Partick Thistle's kit isn't made out of thorns?

Is that the best they can do for a picture. Some random shot with kids and pylons and infrastructure in the background.

Why not get an old dear with a shopping trolley to walk in front or maybe a drunken Scotsman asking for change.

I like. Nice and simple with no unnecessary clutter, though the garish sponsor takes up too much space, and there's too much blue. Other than that, it's quite good.

But the fact that there's no official photo

Have you not seen Boltons home shirt? If I had to buy one of the two purely on how it looks, it would be Blackpools shirt EVERYTIME!

TRUE STORY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The shirt and the sponser both are turd. :-x

The marketing team at blackpool specified something 90's looking like a cotton white collar with buttons. For a sponsor 'Rebecca Jewllers Southport' expressed interest. And a potential deal was talked about in principle as a way to payback a previous loyal sponsor from when the club were going through tougher times. Obviously it would be at a very cut price for a premiership sponsorship deal. Most big companies where only interested in a game by game deal. In the end the club settled for a deal with wonga.com. Wonga didn't even come close to the clubs asking price, but it was the best the could get. They sold out if u ask me because Wonga only offered £7,000 more than rebeccas jewellers. So this cowboy loans company wonga.com get to become a worldwide brand and one of the highest profile companies in the world and they've got this deal for pennies!!!!!! The cheapest premiership sponsorship deal for a long long time!!!!!!!

Blackpool F.C the first EVER League one team who have been given a special one off unique tour of the premiership. For one year only and possibly longer. Bars of rock, candy floss, beaches and swimming, fairground rides and beachballs.

Worst possible sponsors for what will be the worst club in the Premiership. Hardly an ethical choice, loan sharks charging 2600% interest to the poor, desperate, and stupid. Hope for their sakes that Blackpool won't be borrowing any funding from them back in the Championship. Wouldn't touch anything associated with a company like that with a bargepole, and nor should the club or their fans.

ps same manufacturer and colour as Luton. Vomit.

Absolute balls, Rebecca's jewellers could not fund a Premiership club. They only ever sponsored blackpool in the small leagues. A family owned jewellers from Southport isn't the international brand that a premiership club would be sponsored by! Sorry but thats a fact!!!!!

3 guranteed points, slappers guaranteed to be up for it on a night out, a ground that will make you piss yourself with laughter, a manager who comes out with cracking one liners.
carlsberg dont do away games.
but the premier league do.
