Burnley Football Club revealed the 10/11 Puma away kit to be worn in the 2010/11 season.

Burnley Football Club is delighted to reveal the away kit to be worn in the 2010/11 season. Club captain Graham Alexander is pictured modelling the adult kit, manufactured by Puma and sporting the club sponsor Fun88.com.

All junior home and away replica shirts for the 2010/11 season will bear the name of the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research charity.

The Football Association's industry code for responsible advertising, governing gambling products, prevents us from replicating the main sponsor Fun88.com on junior shirts.

And so the club has chosen to promote the charity supported by celebrity supporter Alastair Campbell on all junior shirts sold.

Burnley FC Chairman Mr Barry Kilby said: "I am proud that we are able to help out such a worthwhile charity in this manner.

"The restrictions on junior shirts allowed us to seek a charity to support and in Alastair we have not only a valued and prominent supporter, but also a person who does great work for charity.

"The two combined make Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research a perfect choice and we look forward to promoting the charity over the coming year."

The replica away kit for juniors is made to precisely the same specifications as the adult version, and is fully endorsed by Burnley Football Club and the charity.

Mr Campbell, chairman of fundraising for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, said: "It is typically generous of Barry Kilby, Paul Fletcher and everyone at the club that they should have the idea of allowing a charity to enjoy the benefits of this added exposure, and I am thrilled that they have chosen Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

"I have supported Burnley FC all my life, and supported Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research since losing my best friend John Merritt in 1992.

"This brings together two of the great passions in my life.

"The charity does so much work to improve survival rates for children and young people with blood cancers so it seems fitting to have this logo on junior shirts.

"When the charity started out fifty years ago, childhood leukaemia was a death sentence.  Today nine out of ten children who get this disease will survive."

Cathy Gilman, chief executive of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, added: "I want to say a big thank you to Burnley Football Club.

"Raising awareness of the charity, and the work we do trying to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for blood cancers, is so important to us and this will really help, not just in Burnley but beyond.

"We rely so much on communities across the country, and it says a lot about Burnley FC's commitment to their community that they have done this.

"Seeing all junior Burnley shirts bearing our logo will help to let so many people know about our life-saving work."

Last year, Burnley Football Club sold in excess of 20,000 replica shirts, with 60 per cent sold in junior sizes.

The 2010/11 home shirt (pictured below) will be complemented by white shorts bearing the Puma brand and claret and blue hooped socks.
The 2010/11 away shirt (below) will be worn with blue shorts bearing the Puma brand and blue socks with claret trim.

Prices are:
Shirts: £39.99 (adult), £31.99 (junior)
Shorts: £15.99 (adult), £12.99 (junior)
Socks: £9.99 (adult), £8.99 (junior), £7.99 (kids)

Both replica home shirts - the adult version bearing the logo Fun88.com and the juniors sporting the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research charity, will go on sale in the club shop from Friday, May 21.

The away kit is scheduled to go on sale in July.

Very nice shirt. Plain, but classy. Also like the fact that the kids shirts have a charitable sponsor. This should be done by all football teams in order to show support for good causes!!

It sucks though that kids cant wear the same shirt as the players. If a betting logo is improper for kids to wear, then it is improper for the players to wear.

Its a good job the badge is smaller than this seasons which was huge and far to big. Shame that the 2 kits of this season are very, very similar to the new ones. Was hoping for a different colour away kit from white, but it isnt to bad a kit.

Genesis have done a pi$$ poor job here.

Looks exactly like the 09/10 kit except with a Puma logo and a new sponsor.

Nice touch though for the club to omit the gambling site for a charity on the kids shirts.

Class kit for both the home and away. Traditional and looks the business. Shorts and socks are fully interchangeable with each kit although i suspect a pair or white socks may be needed at some point (versus Scensoredhorpe). Gives the all white look the finishing touch if you ask me.

Nice shirt. I want Burnley to come straight back up. I really liked their attitude and play this season, played the game the right way - never really parked the bus so to speak and always had a go at the opposition regardless of who that opposition was (and it paid off against United, anyone remember that match?!). A bit of a mistake if you don't have top players, but very commendable nonetheless. A great philosophy to have in the age where most teams not in the top 10 routinely play a 7-3-0 formation away from home. I hope they come up next season a stronger side and with the financial ability to have some better players. Class club, come on lads, straight back up!

all kits should either be sponsored by charities like villa or local companies like burnley used to, not stupid global betting sites offering millions!
