burnley 10-11 puma home kit

Burnley Football Club revealed the official home shirt made by Puma to be worn for the 2010/11 season.

For the 100th anniversary of the club wearing the famous claret and blue, Puma have been entrusted with dressing the Clarets for future success.

The Puma brand adorns the breast of the home shirt for the first time, and there is also a subtle change to the 'old' club crest initially recreated for the 2009/10 promotion winning campaign - the words 'Burnley Football Club' replacing the Latin inscription Pretiumque Et Causa Laboris in a move aimed at finalising a permanent new club crest.

The new kit, also featuring the branding of new club sponsor, Fun88.com, has a modern V-neck in blue, with eye-catching white flashes on the sleeves and body.

A stamp, within the neck line of the shirt, celebrates 100 years of Claret and Blue.

Both the home and away kit, which is to be revealed at a later date, use an interlock and mesh fabric that gives lightweight performance, with style and durability for the fans.

The kit was officially unveiled on Friday, 2nd April 2010 at a special VIP launch at Towneley Hall in Burnley.

The club chose the historic setting carefully and seized the opportunity to celebrate 100 years of Claret and Blue with a unique exhibition, displaying every kit from the past century under one roof for fans of all generations to enjoy.

This exhibition, in the Long Gallery at Towneley Hall, Burnley, is FREE to the general public from midday on Saturday, April 3 to Friday, April 30.

A special souvenir programme costing £5, featuring glossy photographs of all the shirts and a short biography of each, will also be available to accompany the exhibition. This booklet will also be sold in the club shop from Saturday, April 3.

What makes it worse is the Chinese writing on the shirt. I understand a lot of Asians watch soccer but Burnley is in England and should have no Chinese on their shirts.

On the bright side, Burnley have decided to leave the gambling sponsor off the child size kits and have replaced them with a charity. Very nice touch. Well done Burnley.

Yes, because they have simply copied the Erreà one from last year, even down the the more subtle sponsor logo (you notice there are no logos on the shoulders, as with the Tottenham shirt) and the 'old school' style sewn on woven badge.

not bad, actually nothing bad about it at all. unfortunately, thats also the problem, very boring. but when it comes to football kits, especially for a traditional side like burnley, less is more.

That's an improvement on the current one but it's still pretty poor. Seeing how Reebok have moved away from Bolton perhaps the club should find a new kitmaker.

Hopefully this means Puma's only putting ONE puma on all their kits this year, instead of on the chest as well as both shoulders? That would be great.

This is quite nice, bold, clean and clearly Burnley. Its pretty sad that major companies won't sponsor top flight teams. I appreciate Burnley may go down, but their matches have been seen all over the world this season and you would have thought that a major sponsor would have taken them on, injected cash into the club, which might have kept them up?

Them turning the Scum over was without doubt one of the highlights of this season and they've managed a few decent results against a few others too.

Some of Puma's recent shirts have been cheap and naff looking - Spurs' current home shirt is shocking, bearing in mind how cool their 125th Centenary ones were. I hope they don't make a mess of our Newcastle ones for next seasons Premiership campaign...

That Spurs one is horrid, what was the deal with that yellow stuff it looked like they pissed on their shirts before they come out onto the pitch

I had never thought switching from errea would be a bad decision for a club as far as design goes. It is for them.

Isnt There Meant To Be A Rule Now, That All premier League Home Kits Have To Be For 2 Years.? Why Do The New Kits Say 2010/11 .. There Aint Enough Time For Kit Makers To Think of A Brilliant And UNique Kit For Each team.. Too Many Boring, and Similar Templates for all teams now

Nice kit, shame bout the sponsors logo - of all the clubs u cud rely on NOT selling out 2 alohol or gambling - of all the "traditional" footie clubs, how cud BURNLEY sell out? Also think its being a bit racist, people who say they don't like the chinese letters coz they're not Engilsh. Hope I c that kit in the flesh nxt season.
