Here are the new Glasgow Celtic home and goalkeeper shirts made by Nike for the 2010/11 season.
The new kit released today at 12pm in Glasgow is the first to feature the new Tennant's sponsor logo. The famous green and white hoops completely surround the shirt as is traditional. The hoops appear to be the same size as the previous kits but with the colours reversed so that the Celtic and Nike swoosh appear on top of a white hoop.
A new touch to the kit is the woven pattern found within the green hoops which reads '1888' at a diagonal angle in a slightly abstract manner. Gone is the yellow trim which featured on the previous season's kit and is replaced by a black trim which can be found on the collar, cuffs and Nike swoosh.
The shorts are predominantly white with a green stripe down either side broken apart by white slits. The back of the shorts similar to the shirt features the word 'Celtic' around the small of the back. The Celtic logo most interestingly is joined by a logo of the club sponsor, Tennant's for the first time, in red with a gold and black outline.
The socks contain two green hoops running around the centre of the socks while the Nike swoosh and Celtic writing lie inbetween these on the front and back respectively.
Celtic's home goalkeeper kit comes in yellow green colour this year with a lightning bolt effect running down the sleeves similar to many club goalkeeper kits produced by Nike will be for the coming season.
Following on from the Carling initiative, the child's replica version of the kit also comes sponsorless as to promote responsible drinking.

Because if it isn't Man United or Liverpool then in terms of size and fanbase within the UK they're nothing next to Celtic, so unless you're not being sarcastic and I've mistook what you're saying then shut it.
Love the strip... the 1888 incoporated into the green hoops isn't as obvious in the flesh as it is in those photos, so overall its a belter.

Pat - The fact that it is "red" shouldn't be a bother. The fact that it is there at all is the issue. Get shot of Nike? And go to whom? Umbro? They are owned by Nike. Adidas or Rebok? Another two headed monster.
With Celtic, when you only accept several colors (green, white, gold and black) it limits the options. Nike could have delivered a polo style similar to the Umbro Rangers but then nobody would have liked that either
What do you want them to do? Pink and black hoops? Our colours are green and white and we play in hoops. In what way is the Rangers top more original and stylish? It's a plain blue top with a white colour and it's like fvcking rugby top.

Methadone seems to be the popular choice amongst your lot.
The 1888 logo, as previously mentioned, is a nice throwback to the Umbro diamonds Celtic had in the hoops in the late 1980's.
I also like the collar, the 1st Nike have added to Celtic's shirts, another nice retro touch.
All in all probably the nicest Celtic shirt (sorry for the Carlsberg reference Tennents!) Nike have poduced upto now!
Re the first kit itself. Not bad at all but for a few details.
No need for black trim on the collar - It's Celtic not Sporting Lisbon.

Bought full kits for my two lads and as soon as we got them home noticed pulls in the material, along with fraying and bobbling. What a joke!!!
Got them changed with no problems but replacements have went the same way.
Contacted CFC and they offered to exchange them again, not sure if it is worth it, lets home Nike get act together and use better material. Do they not test the materials before using them??
Any one else experience this??
