It brings in $$$ so if that's being a corporate whore so be it. Money is the bottom line.
As for the new jersey, it looks pretty cool, but I like last season's kit a bit more. Perhaps it is the lighting but it really does look like the front has two tones of red. The stripe across the chest is just weird.
The Fire held a kit unveiling yesterday with Brian McBride wearing the primary all-red kit. It looked like one consistent shade of red in those photos.
Chicago Fire could intend lawsuits against Adidas, even more while looking at the other shirts which are all really nice.

I dislike the nose strip across the chest, and the two tones of red don't work (though I think that it could just be a different material that reflects light in an other way, but the shades of red might look the same in a different lighting).
Reading the comments above mine; it seems that I'm not the only one who think about the shirt in this way.
