chile 10-12 brooks home football kit

This is the new Chile 2010-12 Home football kit made by Brooks, which will be used at the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

Brooks Sports, Inc. was founded in 1914 by Morris Goldenberg and is a company that produces high performance shoes, soccer and running apparel. Brooks originally produced bathing shoes in 1917 before moving into sports by producing baseball cleats in 1920 and football boots in the 1930s.

At least it's not the over used templates of Puma and Nike. Brooks is something different and I respect and like that.

in chile the ANFP (the national professional football asosiation in spanish) was on a legal battle against brooks, cos' they had a lot (10 or12) of years of contract, renewable without the permission of one of the parts, so if brooks wanted, they could have the contract for 5 more years
and almost everyone in chile hate brooks for being a not well know brand
(forgive my gramar i speak sapnish as 1st language)

Also, the giant Brooks logo on the back of the shirt is not allowed by FIFA.

A nice kit apart from the socks. They should be all white. The player modelling the kit has navy blue socks, the girl modelling same kit has white socks. These look better in my opinion.

The brand "Brooks" in under license in Chile with the same corporation (FORUS S.A) (S.A. in Chile means CORP.) that lost the license of Umbro about almost 6 or 8 years ago...so for that reason Chile is obligated to wear "brooks", a brand that has no football history until the next world cup. But in the other hand thanks to the last qualifying campaign it is almost guaranteed that a major brand is going to sign a deal with chile after the world cup, under bielsa chile can do a great world cup.

The "black" lines on the shoulders and the sleeves are supposed to be copper-like, since copper is our main product and the center of our economy...but the idea absolutely sucks and it looks golden, it seems that Brooks forgot that we have to play against Spain...

I guess that Chile is going to use the white socks with the red jersey and the blue shorts, that's how the uniform has been since the 40's...but now that we have copper on our uniforms, I'm certain of nothing

Nice to see another brand at the world cup although these pictures don't really show a lot of detail about the kit so its difficult to pass comment.
Brooks used to do very good football boots...Paul Gascoigne used to wear them at Italia 90.

Brooks is a well respected company which produces high-end running shoes/apparel. I am not sure why they still produce football shirts though. They used to supply QPR with kits way back when...

Brooks make the Chilean rugby team's kit as well. This kit is OK, certainly better than some, but if your national colours are red white and blue you have an advantage straight away,
