Colchester United 10-11 puma away kit

Colchester United's clash kit for the new season has now been unveiled.

Season ticket holders attending an exclusive event at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Friday evening got the first glimpse of the new strip, before watching the England v Algeria clash.

The U's will be wearing a red clash strip next season, with black sleeves and gold trim.

Sponsored by Reader Offers Limited, the strip will be worn when the U's are unable to wear their blue and white stripes on the road next season.

For the first time in over a decade, the U's will be able to wear their famous main kit, thanks to the sponsorship deal with Reader Offers Limited.

The home kit was also made available for sale for the first time, with the kit due on general sale on June 26th.

The clash kit is due for public sale in July, released on July 19th.

At least it's not that blasted template that's been afflicting Puma shirts lately...

Terrible photographer.....use a contrasting background, censoredwit.

I guess the kit looks ok....hard to tell what colors are there besides red.

Chip,

In recent seasons, Colchester United have had a home kit sponsor and an away kit sponsor. That has meant that we haven't been able to wear our home kit "on the road" due to sponsor obligations.

As the sponsor this year has taken both home and clash shirts, it means we will be able to wear our main (home) kit on the road.

I guess they mean wear the blue and white striped home kit away from home for the first time as the same sponsor now sponsors both shirts. Bad editorial !

Thanks folk!

I was reading it to mean "we were too poor to have a home kit until we got money from this sponsor"!

This is pretty nice. I like the colors, especially the gold accents.

same template of burnley and hibs :-*

I think you'll find clubs don't have much option with regards to the DNA/template of away kits - it pretty much comes down to what the brand decide to introduce in that season. What the clubs can do is choose the colours, neck line/shape, badge/branding locations, change the accents etc....
