Darlington 10-11 errea kit vote winner

Darlington FC have revealed their new home and away kit designs for next 10/11 season, as voted for by supporters.

The club offered fans the chance to vote for the 2010-11 strips by giving them two options for each.

The club received more than a thousand votes all together - by post, email and text - and the winning designs were unveiled at last night's Question of Sport fans' night at the Northern Echo Arena.

Option A for both home and away kits won the vote, with the home kit reverting to the club's traditional black and white hoops, and the all-red version winning the away vote.

"It's proved to be an extremely popular exercise," said the club's community liaison officer Damon Shaw.

"We received a lot of votes, more than a thousand, which proves fans do like to have their say on what happens with their club.

"This is the best way for us to make sure we have a popular kit for fans to enjoy so we'd like to thank everyone who took time to vote.

"Hopefully the winning designs will prove just as popular with the supporters, and they'll be ready for them to buy in plenty of time for next season."

Fans who voted were entered into a free prize draw, with the first prize being a trip to Italy (terms and conditions apply), which includes a visit to Erreà, Darlington's kit manufacturers, plus two season tickets and a signed framed shirt, which was won by Tracey Foster.

Second prize is two season tickets and a signed framed shirt, won by Chuck Gutierrez.

If option A was the winner, why show option B as the first pic?

I think they both look great......what a great prize to win a trip to Errea in Italy. I can just see Nike Adidas or Puma sending people to their various Chines sweat shops to see the parks kits produced.

Whatever Errea' kits look like, credit is due to them for being the only manufacturers still doing all their production in Europe.

they will only be available in the club shop. and not in town. the club won't be able to afford to pay a stockist.

it will probably be the best kit in the conference.

i prefered the other away kit personally. but the home one is class. i can't wait to get it.

the main thing is that we have a club to support (the few of us left) and that the club are planning ahead.

Eh, I would've voted for both of the kits that lost. I don't like the wave thing with the stripes on the home strip.
