Let´s make a hughe fuzz around a FOOTBALL SHIRT and charge the numb fans a few quids more, and sell them a red shirt(probably same as the home, only the color and collar changed)

Jippieh...financial crisis my ar.se...lets spend our money on plain football shirts with a created story around it.

It´s soooo sad!

Very cool concept. But the simple basics can be dangerous all the time.

so fabri,

youre a truly victim of this marketing joke? Cool concept and hordes of classy designers producing a unique shirt(which can win the world cup by wearing alone ) Especially those "fabric" stuff (special materials which improve youre fitness and skills)make me laugh my ars.se off.

I personally, and am aware of the fact that am on the wrong website at all, think football shirts and all the "releasing secret" cra.p is a complete rip off ,of a society with too much money and too few real problems in life.

Completely meaningless and there are better things in life, which you can spend youre money on. Your children, books, holidays.... for example

I was in Harrods during the week and I saw what I thought was the new kit. I have a picture if anyone wants proof. It is exactly the same as the home but with the white umbro logo.

UMBRO are seeking a unique campaign to tease football fashion audience , that must be the influence after nike's take over.

England's kits have always been plain. In fact most countries have had plain kits until the late 70s, 80s, 90s came along and ruined things. I reckon the only people that want cluttered designs are young people that weren't around in the 80s.
Trust us we had to endure ugly kits for more than 20 years. Time for us to enjoy classic designs again. Umbro is going back to the way kits should be instead of having a jumble of abstract shapes and designs that the Adidas fools can't seem to get away from. Why is it that a shirt is supposed to be more cluttered in design as time goes on instead of just having a simple shirt with a hole for a neck and two sleeves?
England has had more years in plain shirts than abstract ones, so why should they just not go back to tradition and class?

OMG - i've never seen such a large amount of "hot air" over a new shirt - only could England do such an act of "HYPE" - the shirt will be nothing exciting and more important England will still lose in the quarters on PK's hahahaha

Great kit. Saw on another site a head and shoulders pic of John Terry wearing it and it looks as if they've dropped the white collar that we saw on the leaked kit. Great move on their part so that is more closely resembles the 66 kit.

Their wasn't a white collar on the leaked picture, it was red.

Actually your wrong. They have taken the leaked pictures off of the site but if you read all of the comments on that thread you will see everyone was complaining about the white collar and sleeves.

I predict it will be plain red with no white trim, just like 1966.

There's nothing to predict. The shirt IS all red with the only other colour on it being the England badge and Umbro logo in white. The slide show above from the Umbro site pretty much shows exactly this with their sneak peak stuff.

Personally I can't wait to see the final products, I am a huge fan of Aitor Throup...he is pretty much a genius. This may be plain and simple, but thats how it should be. As for comparisons to the home, it may have adopted a simple approach but it won't have the same construction as the home shirt, this can be clearly seen on the initial design sketches....
Having been bought up in England by Italian parents I have always adorned the Italian strip...this will be the first World Cup that I have the England Shirt instead. I would gladly swap what Puma have come up with for Italy's strip for something designed by Aitor Throup.

lol that guy came to a football shirt website just to unload on us because we're shirt fans
looks like someone has too much time on their hands....

though he had one thing right, it's gonna be the same as the home shirt in red, maybe a different collar
