England World Cup 2010 Umbro Away Shirt Leaked

england-world-cup-2010-umbro-away-shirt-leaked-1.jpg

This seems to be the new England World Cup 2010 Away football shirt made by Umbro.

Earlier this year we brought the news that the new England 10/12 away kit made by Umbro will be almost identical to the one worn by the World Cup winners in 1966.

The new England 2010/2012 away kit will be officially unveiled in March 2010.

What do you think, could this be it?

Looks fake to me...to similar to the homeshirt...I would expect something different, yet not modern.

If they ask for the removal of the pictures...it means it's not a fake...cos if it was, they couldn't care less...
and, I can't recall anytime FSC has uploaded fake shirts here, they make sure to let us know it's not confirmed, but they're always spot on...

Why the star is red? It's difficult to see it

The home is supposed to look like it is from the 50s, and this is supposed to look like the one from the 1966 World Cup. Both didn't have stars on the shirt, so they are "hidden," and that is why the crests on the shorts are all in the color of the shorts, to be "hidden" as well. They only have numbers on the shorts and names on the back because they are required to by FIFA.

I have three questions:

1) Will this have the banner underneath the crest with the team name?

2) Why is there a ringer on the sleeves, since there wasn't at the 1966 World Cup?

3) Will this be paired with white or red shorts?

This is my answer (What I think - not what I know)

1.) Yes it will be exactly like the home shirt I am guessing. It would look out of place if it wasn't.

2.) Good point - but the red shirts worn in '66 were long-sleeved. I'm thinking 4 years later to Mexico '70 but these had red cuffs.

3.) I would be surprised if the shorts are not white. I'm guessing the home shorts in the World Cup and from 2010 to be the navy blue colour.

I think it's a really nice shirt, it looks too good to be a fake. It could be a design sample that got leaked, not the final design, because I remember reading here that the shirt will mirror the '66 and '70 stylings (all red shirt - crew-neck & cuffs) Even the Umbro motif would be red.

I would be beyond shocked if Umbro allowed their logo to be "hidden." To be honest, it doesn't look bad with the white accents, as it keeps the shirt from looking too plain. I actually think it would look better with white on the collar as well. It should either be all red or a red shirt with white rings on the collar and sleeves.

As for the shorts, I agree that I think they will be navy, but the question becomes why were they all white to begin with?

I just hope these have the same tailored fit as the home kit. I can understand echoing 1966, but I'd have preferred to see the collar carried over, as well.

Well, it still seems like England are dwelling in the past instead of moving on. I call it "post-66-syndrome"...

This will probably be the idea of what it will look like but this is just a fake. The badge is crooked. But once again, it will probably look nearly like this.

Pretty poor to be honest. Really think england need to vary the away kits up a bit. I hope this is a fake because it just doesnt carry that retro look the home kit does.

Even though I dont think england will win the world cup, I'd like the media to stop banging on about '66. The only way that will happen if england win the world cup.

Anyway the kit is nothing special but I'm sure people will still go out of their way to buy it

Looks too mishapen and baggy. Will definitely be something close to this though, which is cool. Agree with Gazhorn, might be leaked sample. This example hardly looks 'taylored.'

i like it. its clean. but i think its alittle bland. its nice dont get me wrong a beautiful kit. but i felt umbro could have put alittle more elbow grease into this project. they use the manchester city template. but then again WE cant really say anything until 1.)the official unveiling and 2.) when the players put it on the pitch. we cant really judge a kit by it just sitting on a clothes hanger. for now it give it a 3 1/2 stars

Fake.

It will be something similar but Umbro's ''Tailored In England'' Range features matte finished shirts, shorts and drill tops. This shirt is shiny like polyester.

Oh Well.

As a consequence of this I would bet money Umbro don't request the image to be removed.

I don't like it. I prefer sticking to red rather than shift to grey, and it's a bit too plain without the England badge. Whats with that message from Umbro? No, bring back the old shirt I say.

The fact that it's been removed for copyright reasons tells you it's the real deal and not a fake. Not a bad kit but not amazing either. Heard that it's being paired with white shorts and red socks. Hopefully that means that they'll wear the navy shorts with their home jerseys during the cup.

The shirt doesn't look bad. It does look loose though. It does not look like they are sticking with the tailored look. Now if they do, it could look like a smart top. Not sure about the white on the sleeves though. They might be off with that one.

Saw this on football_shirts.co.uk yesterday it's nice but looks a bit like a mid 90's training top. A bit too simple for me.

Bet the shorts are white with red hoops around the bottom or a red stripe down the side. Either would balance out the white on the jersey.

I already have one of these shirts, purchased for £15.00 at the Eagle Centre Market in Derby. The chap told us they were the new training shirts. Look a little like a take on the Brazil and Italy t-shirts but in polyester. Glad I got one now.
