everton 10-11 le coq sportif home kits

Fans turned out en masse to witness Graeme Sharp, Everton’s record post-war goal scorer, unveil both the famous Dixie Dean statue and Jack Rodwell, one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League, wearing the innovative new strip.

Commenting on the new kit, Everton’s rising star Rodwell, said: “The lads really like the new kit.  I like the fact it’s simple and stylish.  Hopefully it will prove lucky for us and we will have lots of success wearing it next season.”

The Le Coq Sportif strip, which is described as ‘an evolution of the traditional Everton royal blue colour, was a big hit with Everton supporters on the night.

Everton will wear their new colours for the first time on 10 July, when they face Sydney FC during the first-team squad’s pre-season tour of Australia.  In addition to the fixture against Sydney FC, the Blues will play two other games while ‘Down Under’, against Melbourne Heart on 14 July and Brisbane Roar on 17 July.

Aye, last year's looked more like a parody of an 80s kit than a reinterpretation of one.

Omar - very witty. Did you come up with that all by yourself? Gold star and a pat on the head for you. The brand has been around since 1948 and you must be the first to make that joke. tde - looks no cheaper than anything produced by Nike, Puma, or Adidas over the last few years. The brand just isn't as fashionable. Everton release a new home kit every year because us football fans are very gullible and many will buy every season. It's an almost guranteed source of income which is very imoprtant until we can get a new stadium. Man United make as much from corporate tickets as we do from an entire matchday, even though we virtually get a sell out in an out of date stadium most home games. The worst I can say about our kit is that it's a bit bland. At least it doesn't scorch one's retinas like the away kit

It is what an Everton home shirt should look like, blue and just blue, with shorts and socks that is white and just white. The new home Goalie kit is also good. This makes up for last year's home and away kit, but it still doesn't make up for this year's away kit. (But again, NOTHING could!)
