finland 10-12 adidas home kit

This is the new Finland 10/12 home football kit made by Adidas.

The Football Association of Finland was founded as early as 1907 and became a member of FIFA in 1908, despite the fact that at that time Finland was still an autonomous grand duchy of the Russian Empire and didn't gain independence until 1917. Finland played its first international match on October 22, 1911, losing to neighboring Sweden 2–5 in Helsinki.

Finland will use this new home kit during the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign against The Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Moldova and San Marino.

It's not original. I guarantee this template will be worn by every other club in the Football League next season. Standard adidas template for next season.

It's a damn shame as the originality and brashness from the late 80s early 90s has gone. Sure there were right horrible kits but that was the beauty of it, you could identify a distinctive kit to the team it was worn by, e.g. the 1989 - 91 Liverpool flecked home kit and the tiger-print Hull City kit from the early 90s...

Yeah , you take the Greece home and away kits , mix them and you got a "very original" kit for Finland. "Great" job adidas ... again!

Not a fan of this template but this is one of the better shirts I've seen carrying it; with two different colours justifying the "lines" rather than efforts such as the Greece kit [which would've looked better with this sort of approach!] where it looks a bit flimsy.

& oh, Litmanen is one of the best European players of the last 20 years!

Oh my gosh, this looks brutally ugly. So stupid with the colored panels. The simple stripes were one thing, but whole panels of ugliness?

Not wearable casually if you buy a replica. Surprise the designeds do not think of this. I would not wear this to a 5-a-side game with my mates.

I was expecting an unimaginative adaptation of one of Adidas's templates, but was pleasantly surprised to get a rather exciting adaptation instead. Like.

I don't like when the disigners use the custom template.
I like when the adidas digners makes somethig different, like the germany shirt

Totally agree with you rodrigovasco , but you must understand that , after finishing the german kit , the adidas designers are very very tired ...

The best Adidas shirt in years. Very modern design. The combination of Finland's royal blue and white has been put together very nicely. I'm definately buying this shirt. Very impressive. Better than Umbro's retro crap.

Same cutting pattern (or template, if you prefer) as Paraguay and a whole host of others, but looked at in its own right the shirt is pretty decent, I'm not doing back flip but, yes it's OK.

Nice shirt, yes adidas are lazy as sin, as are all the manufacturers these days, but I prefer this to the last couple of really plain shirts. Suomi have a great chance of qualifying for the Euros this time around, and it would be double sweet as likely at the expense of Sweden

Ian Huntley = fail.

When I looked at the shirt before realising it was a Finland shirt, I thought it was a Greece kit. It's very strange, I can see teams like Derby County wearing a version of this with black panels next season. Not really sure what to make of it...

It's not Mussolini's head. It's Jean Sibelius, the famous Finnish composer.

I don't think Championship teams will have this design next season. I just got the new teamwear catalogue today, and this design isn't in it, unlike Tiro which Derby, Peterborough, Plymouth and Middlesbrough to name some had in 09/10.

Some of you moaners really need to get a life by the way, how many of you realistically slating this shirt, would actually buy it anyway???

That is actually a picture of a very old Jean Sibelius... The word "Sopusointu" is finnish for harmony.

Can anyone tell me where to get this one? I ordered it at karstadt.de (Germany) but just got the blank body of the shirt in white/cobalt but without the emblem and without the "Suomi" on the outside of the neck. This is strange. I'm wondering if I'll just print out the emblem and iron it on the shirt....
