Here is the new 2010/11 Hertha BSC home kit manufactured by Nike.
The traditional blue and white stripes of the Berlin team are retained while an interesting modern twist is introduced with the zigzag pattern and parallel red lines running inside the white stripes.
The new jersey represents aggression, identification and sustainability, issues that will accompany the in their mission to return to the Bundesliga at their first attempt. A particular focus is sustainability, Nike has put emphasis on sustainable product design. All Hertha shirts are made similar to Nike's World Cup range in the sense that they are made from recycled materials, the equivalent of eight plastic bottles are used in the making of each shirt.
On the inside of the jersey behind the Hertha logo is the phrase "Aus Berlin - Für Berlin" which translates into English as, 'From Berlin - For Berlin' a slogan which was launched to bond Hertha with the city of Berlin and see it as the capital's team.
Around on the back of the shirt, beneath the collar is a bear, the symbol of the city of Berlin. The shorts are blue with a red Nike swoosh and Hertha logo. The socks similarly are blue with a red Nike swoosh and a Hertha logo located on the calf.
For the 2010/11 season Germany will be the only country in Europe without a team from it's capital city in the top tier of it's football system.

I don't particularly like this design, but it's great to see something different, from one of the Big Three, something that sparks a debate and polarises opinion. For a change!
and now... i think its oke.. but its not very specially... its like a kit designed by a child...
what ever...
WIEDERAUFSTIEG 2010/2011!!

The flash design of the stripes remind me of mid 90's nike templates..
that's what have have been thinking, since i see the man utd away leak weeks ago.....the shirts looked shite in the 90's and they still look shite now. how anyone can call this different when it was done 15 years ago i dont know. i call it unimaginative. NIKE SUCK
Enjoy the second division ...
They've finally reached the 90's lol.
Don't really know what to think of this; it's weird for sure, but that's what I find charming about this kit.

(if you didn't read the text or were blinded by the sheer ugliness of the kit: it's made of rubbish. zing-a-ding-ding.)
