Hibernian Home Kit

Here is the new Hibernian kit for the 2010/11 Scottish Premier League season produced by Puma.

This is the first season that Puma have sponsored the Edinburgh side after a long term contract with Le Coq Sportif finished earlier this year. This follows on from the away kit which was released earlier this season.

Seen here, modeled by the Edinburgh outfit's new signing, Edwin De Graaf. The kit is quite traditional in emerald green with white sleeves and collar in a v-neck cut. A few small black flashes are also present just close to the sleeves.

The shorts are white with a green trim with the Hibs logo aswell as the Puma logo. The socks are green with white flashes on the sides and Puma logos on the calves.

Should be wrongly - it's an adverb, whereas wrong is just an adjective. Keep up or go back to school.

funnily enough I was just on FSC, and it had not been announced on here, went on the Hibs store, was gonna contact FSC and here it is :)

....But on the top, I actually love it, not a fan AGAIN of the Puma logo on the Arms, never like their over advertising..But the strip is top class.

Me likey!! As close to a "traditional" kit as you're likely to get these days. Roll on the new season.

Thanks Puma. GGTTH!

Except that Hibernian were playing in their colours a good quarter-of-a-century before Werder Bremen even formed. Clue might be in the numbers "1875" on the badge there.

Nice kit by the way, like the shot of dark colour near the armpit (provided that's actually the shirt and De Graaf doesn't need Right Guard).

Just because you don't know the history, doesn't mean they don't have one. Take off your old firm blinkers, there are another 40 teams in Scotland.

Agree with Martin, according to the Old Firm there are no other teams outside of their little world. On the scale of things Celtic aren't exactly huge themselves, you are horrendous in Europe bar one season in recent memory and are only big enough to attract second rate European players and some from the English lower leagues. You may bang on about the 'best fans in the world' but there are more passionate fans in say, Argentina, and i'm not talking about just River and Boca, also teams in Serbia, Croatia and Portugal have more passionate fans than these. I have had to live with constant Old Firm bias in the media and on every football tv show in Scotland for years, I've seen enough games to question the point of the SPL as it's only 2 teams that can win it and refereeing decisions are laughable. The best thing is the Celtic fans, although Scottish, consider themselves Irish, if these members are so intent on their new found nationalism then they should maybe consider moving their club to Ireland.

Looks decent, but I'd like to see it on the pitch and not simply in photos. I didn't like Puma's World Cup gear (African nations excluded) at first, but now I love them all.

No reason to excuse ignorance. There would be no Old Firm without the other 40 teams.

Don't you mean "leeching"? Pot, kettle, black; how many times have we heard Celtic/Rangers say they are desperate to suckle at the Premiership's affluent teet (a league they'd do well to even survive in)?

Where would the old firm go? I think you'll find nobody wants the bigot brothers on their doorstep! England said no, and American fans were protesting the planned derby over there in vast numbers, and If the rest of us in scotland got the slightest chance we would send you lot packing!

Don't like the neck - but I know I'm being picky. - it's a nice and traditional kit. Bet all the Hibees like it.

As for the Old Firm - removing them from the SPL (as much as I despise them) - could leave the rest of us like the League of Wales. I just don't see how getting them out would make the future brighter - yeah some of us would win trophies and the novelty of having the title would be good - but would the future really be brighter?

Nice and simple. Traditional, if not spectacularly innovative or creative. Not a bad first effort from Puma.

A solid 7/10

Really, really annoyed that Hibs made this move to be honest. Ditched a loyal and pretty decent brand of Le Coq Sportif, for a bloody Genesis Puma deal...just generic , trashy puma templates with no club loyalty, just templates and colours. Well done Hibs! For dropping such a dedicated kit manufactuer and now have a deal with demons who are not even going to recognise what you represent in scottish football.

I always like Hibs strips where they keep the
shorts white. It's a nice, crisp, traditional look.

Unfortunately, the sponsor is Puma, so next
year it'll all be covered in smather.

I can't wait until they release the new 3rd strip!
I hear it is going to be a replica of the very first hibs strip...Green & white hoops, with HFC across the middle, just like the one the Celtic founder BORROWED for hibs when they first started up, but forgot to hand back It will come with white shorts and green & white hooped socks.
