Amazing jersey. Inter Milan and Holland r the only teams that make outstanding jerseys.

Not too bad for a jersey they will rarely use. I hope the stripes on the sleeves won't be used for all the nike jerseys.

Dig!

Nike's done some great work with Holland's kits, and this is no exception. The only failing I see are the stripes on the sleeves. It would have been better if the sleeve trim was blue, or if they just left the sleeves completely white.

thats an amazing shirt...Awesome...But, something inside of me just says "well, would be better if the shirt was blue with white and orange details, the same template, but the 98's away shirt collor'...Well, maybe because i love that 98's away shirt!!!!

Hmm, I don't know. Two thin stripes in a V is kinda random, not really portraying the colors of the flag as well as if they kept the lines straight and closer together. I totally agree that the qualifying away shirt was better with the diagonal (straight) stripes. And I really don't like the KNVB badge as a circle. The shield of last year was a much stronger logo. Lets hope they do better with the home shirt, as the qualifying home shirt last year with the flag on the collar was terrific I thought (I bought one).

Exactly. A rounded badge seems like a coaster - something you put underneath your glass to avoid staining the table.

The KNVB logo looks more powerful inside the crest, like the home shirt.

Too bland, don't like it. The 08-09 away was way better and felt more Dutch. This just screams like a ManU template copy and paste job.

You would think Nike should feel more freedom to experiment with a team that's used to orange shirts...

As for the stripe, it seems most Nike kits will have rounded stripes along the sleeves either vertical or horizontally.

5/10

I like it. Glad that there sticking with the flag colors on the away jersey. Hopefully we get some more leaks of Nike jerseys soon. I know this is probably not the place but I'm curious as to why we haven't seen a Slovakia kit from Adidas yet since they have officially released all of the rest of their cup teams.

Because Slovak FA is a bunch of idiots who - because of a lack of success in past 15 years - completely abandoned all marketing-related activities. So there is nothing like kit launches etc and our kit is always the 2nd grade adidas template with just a national crest as a badge. Would be surprised if we got anything better then what Nigeria was supposed to get, just in blue. By the way all adidas stores in Slovakia are still stocking the old template jersey.

+3 # 2010-01-02 19:45
Thanks for filling me in. Sorry about your FA being idiots. I actually think you got a decent chance of making it out of your group. The rejected Nigeria shirt in blue wouldn't be horrid but would definitely not be as nice as your current kits.

Our current kits are absolutely exactly the same as Cyprus, Israel and Finland have
Adidas are putting in zero effort for the lower-tier teams.

i thought the world cup jerseys supposed to display the new templates b4 the club teams got them
but this is just Man Utd's shirt...holland since about 96 or 98 have always had real nice home and way but the this and the euro 08 shirts complete disappointments....all the kit manufactures have just run out of ideas 2 or 3 years ago

Its a lovely looking shirt but Mexico used a very similar template in the last world cup 4 years ago.Im wondering if the stripes on the sleeves are reflective like the reflective spots on the Portsmouth 'Canterbury' shirts.

nike are running out of ideas.

That's why they're fighting legally to force adidas to remove their 3 stripe.

oh btw to all who wonder that this kit is a "copy, paste" version of Man U's kit let me shed some light, nike is running there "V for victory" campaign if you guys remember was posted on this site, well maybe the man u kit and the holland kit is running the v for victory brand from nike. and the rounded stripe on the sleeve is probably going to be a staple design on all nike kits (like the 3 stripes from adidas). expect the nike kits to come in a flashy box. (adidas and umbro already are doin this)

With the US kit being leaked and the home and away being the same template with different colors, I am curious if that'll be the case with all of the Nike kits and they'll keep this template for their home kits. Wouldn't look bad with the Orange and either White or Black "victory" lines on their jerseys. Netherlands are a dangerous attacking team at this cup and may benefit from how much everyone is talking about Spain.

-2 # ChucklingChuck 2010-01-03 00:01
The USA away shirt hasn't been leaked, people are just assuming it will have the same diagonal stripe. The US away shirt has had a different design from the home, since Nike stopped doing lazy template jobs in '06.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Nederlands' home kit gets black accents, like the one from Euro '00. Every home shirt since then has had white as the secondary color. (W/ the exception of 06-07).

I personally hope the Nederlands home looks like the '78 kit. That would be sweet.

I think it's fake.. If you look at the bottom right of the shirt you will see there is Chinese/Japanese writing on it. Not saying that this means the shirt is fake, the look of the material of the shirt makes it look quite tacky and fake.. But if it is real it isn't half bad
