Here is the new Internazionale away shirt for the upcoming 2010/11 season.
Worn in today's celebrations after being crowned champions of the Serie A, beating Siena 1-0 thanks to a goal from Diego Milito, the team donned the new away shirt.
It features a serpent all the way down the left side of the shirt, a symbol of the club and one that also features in the heraldry of Milan.

Animals are often used to represent football clubs in Italy, the grass snake, called Il biscione or Serpente representing Inter. The snake is an important symbol for the city of Milan, appearing often in Milanese heraldry as a coiled viper with a man in its jaws. The symbol is famous for its presence on the coat of arms of the House of Sforza (who ruled over Italy from Milan during the Renaissance period), the city of Milan, the historical Duchy of Milan (a 400 year state of the Holy Roman Empire), and Insubria (a historical regional area which the city of Milan falls within)
By the way, how did you come up with your name? Dark Tower by any chance?
as for you Mr American, dunderheads? people have no idea its shocking... be serious now what's shocking about that? its not as if somebody has said that they don't believe in the holocaust, Darwin's theory of evolution or gravity these example's would be "shocking". To say that its shocking for someone to not know about a clubs history that they do not support is quite ignorant itself, don't you think? plus find a local football team to support not some high flying EUROPEAN team yah glory hunting bawbag!
BTT: The shirt is not as good as the Crusader One, but still very nice. Since Inter is my second favorite Club, (Basel is way ahed on the first place of course) I'm definitely gonna get it when I'm in Milano next Weekend.

no censoredz whining about the serpent its sound man. plus your explanations got wikipedia all over it.
And yeah I copied & pasted the paragraph about the Biscione from Wikipedia. What's your point?
Yeah, I'm an Inter supporter and I'll be skipping this one.
I totally agree...it is a good tribute to Inter and it is different and unique, i might buy this actually
Nike finally seems to have given a higher value on aesthetics.
The Serpent

and yes, the shirt is really good... i saw it on tv while we were celebrating the scudetto...
I agree with Ray Traunt's comment that the serpent should have been more subtly placed.
Otherwise, their colours and appearance are awesome, making of it a beautiful 90's-like shirt.
puta que te pario!
??? No K-league team shirt looks like that!
Also, yo mama
adidas is shit
this kit rocks just like nike
I like it :)
So what is Nike going to do with Man Utd? Have a cartoon devil holding a pitch fork? The idea is creative, but not very effective in my eyes.
why do you have a dragon on the inter kit.
what does inter milan have alike with the dragon
With any luck this new kit will usher in a new age of kit design one that seeks to be different, stylish and daring.
Having said that it may just be a one off and kit designers may go back to simplistic designs that the traditional fan seems to approve of.
Ho hum.
It's wonderful. And if you don't agree, well, you have to be honest and say it is something original from nike
I thought uefa had forbidden complicated patterns on shirts
And what relation does Inter have with the dragon?
also, read the other comments if you want to know about the dragon... it's a symbol of milan.
I think this shirt is actually really kickass. If I were an Inter fan I would buy it in a second.
Its orignal, I'd happily see my team where a kit like that.
(un viscido serpente per una squadra di viscidi ladri)
Although they have clearly tried to make the serpent as graphic as possible it just looks silly, if you said it was a winning design from an 8 year old I would believe you.
i would love west ham to have a kit like this, but bubbles replacing the dragon!
think about it, this opens up any design available! this is much better than what man utd have got to offer this year
i really really like it. to be honest it caught me off guard because of the latest trend by companies to make subtle, simple, conservative kits but it looks like nike is starting a new trend (i remember nike started the whole simple trend). its a really kool design. a new kick in the kit industry. to be honest i would have prefered it this was a grey watercolour because it will satisfy those who like this design and those who still want a conservative, elegant look. also i like the fit of the shirt. i cant wait to see how adidas and the other companies will do to try and copy this.
NIke you have urself a very satisfied fan of your designs. keep it up!!!!
PS: just wish nike had that same mentality when they designed our USA kits with the eagle flag.
people say that this look like a 8 year old designed this kit. well if that kid did then he's a damn good at drawing.
FINALLY NIKE DESIGNERS ARE THINKING
VERY NEW I LIKE IT AL LOT I WANT TO BUY IT
Embaresing
you moan when kits are too plain
then u moan when kits are completly unique.
i love this top. its something different
they must be kidding me
anyway forza Inter
Anyways, definately buying one if I can
white color has been used since 200405 season till now. BORING!
What an ugly dress!
I think it's great, between this and the Marseilles 3rd shirt, my two favorite so far. This season's away is good, and Inter have always had great away shirts, so why are people complaining? I absolutely love it!
If the first comment had said "Wow! Inspired design! Well done to Nike for doing something original!" all the comments that followed would have been positive. Bunch of sheep on here I tell you.
The kit is cool as f_ck. End of story.
i think that is the best away jersey inter ever had!
lo unico, me gustaria un poco mas tribal
EXELENTE!
But Internazionale has last years always the same away colors white, blue and black
But the away kit seems too much kung-fu oriented!
Wish my team (Dundee United) would try something original and imaginative like this. Beats catalogue jobs any day of the week.
BTW, as has been said many times, the snake design is particulary to Milan (the city) and as such it is not a dragon, it is not Chinese, Jackie Chan did not design it, it is not like a K-League top, or whatever other ignorant pish you want to spout. That said, the same folk who pass annoyingly ignorant comments like this are not the sort to read whatever anyone else has said.
Hence the ongoing cycle of ignorance... Gah.
Anyways, top shirt
