Here is the new Internazionale away shirt for the upcoming 2010/11 season.

Worn in today's celebrations after being crowned champions of the Serie A, beating Siena 1-0 thanks to a goal from Diego Milito, the team donned the new away shirt.

It features a serpent all the way down the left side of the shirt, a symbol of the club and one that also features in the heraldry of Milan.

I really like it when manufacturers try something unique, but this is VERY tacky. It looks like something a chav would have tattooed down his arm, with some Chinese writing next to it, which he thinks means "victory" but actually means "twat"

I think its a really nice shirt its not a Chinese dragon that's why I think its cool its like a sea serpent from Roman times like eh Neptune's serpent maybe?? but i agree sum bawbags gonna get that tattooed up his side with Chinese writing of his infinite children's names but all different meanings of a.n.a.l incompetence.

Here you go, for all you ignorant mongs who are whining about the damn serpent.

http://cdn.worldfootballbook.com/product/fc_internazionale_vin.jpg

Animals are often used to represent football clubs in Italy, the grass snake, called Il biscione or Serpente representing Inter. The snake is an important symbol for the city of Milan, appearing often in Milanese heraldry as a coiled viper with a man in its jaws. The symbol is famous for its presence on the coat of arms of the House of Sforza (who ruled over Italy from Milan during the Renaissance period), the city of Milan, the historical Duchy of Milan (a 400 year state of the Holy Roman Empire), and Insubria (a historical regional area which the city of Milan falls within)

Thank you for educating these dunderheads! People have no idea. It's shocking. I'm American, and even I knew about Il Biscione. WTF is up with that?
By the way, how did you come up with your name? Dark Tower by any chance?

as for you Mr American, dunderheads? people have no idea its shocking... be serious now what's shocking about that? its not as if somebody has said that they don't believe in the holocaust, Darwin's theory of evolution or gravity these example's would be "shocking". To say that its shocking for someone to not know about a clubs history that they do not support is quite ignorant itself, don't you think? plus find a local football team to support not some high flying EUROPEAN team yah glory hunting bawbag!

If you had been paying any attention, you would have figured out that my favorite team is FC Basel 1893, hardly the "high flying" club of glory-hunting bandwagoneers. I think you got me wrong, I'm not one of those super-douchey Americans who support Inter or Barca or worst of all, Man U. I can't stand those fools. I also can't stand the MLS. The sport of football/soccer could be well-developed in this country if that league wasn't run by a bunch of donkeys. But if I had to support an MLS team, it would be the Bay Area's own Earthquakes.

Greetings from Basel... Nice to see that theres Basel Fans even in the US. May I ask you how and why the "FCB" became your favorite Team?
BTT: The shirt is not as good as the Crusader One, but still very nice. Since Inter is my second favorite Club, (Basel is way ahed on the first place of course) I'm definitely gonna get it when I'm in Milano next Weekend.

I lived in Basel for a couple years and I've been back for a few visits since then (one time was in the middle of their big Champions League run in '02, which was a lot of fun). During my time in Basel, I simply fell in love with the town and the team. Thanks for the props; right back atcha bruh!

You do have a good point. Il Biscione usually has a screaming guy in its mouth, not flames. But this is Inter Milan, not FC Porto, so you have to infer that the creature is Il Biscione, not O Dragão.

I like it. It is a good tribute to Inter's history. For those who don't know, the Serpent on the kit is known in Italy as "Il Biscione" which is the symbol of Milan. Il Biscione appears also in the coats of arms of the House of Sforza, the city of Milan, the historical Duchy of Milan and Insubria.

and yes, the shirt is really good... i saw it on tv while we were celebrating the scudetto...

I appreciate Nike trying to play up the heritage of the club with the serpent, but it looks too cartoon-y, like something a 5-year-old would draw.

I agree with Ray Traunt's comment that the serpent should have been more subtly placed.

When I looked at the small picture on the main page, I was going to say WTF - the same old plain white shirt again? But then I clicked to get in to see the bigger picture, and I was laughing my ass off!! This shirt, although innovative in design, is ridiculous!! This looks like a t-shirt for 8-year old boys, with a blue snake/dragon cartoon figure breathing fire on the shoulder?

So what is Nike going to do with Man Utd? Have a cartoon devil holding a pitch fork? The idea is creative, but not very effective in my eyes.

HOLY SHIT THATS A BAD ASS SHIRT!!

i really really like it. to be honest it caught me off guard because of the latest trend by companies to make subtle, simple, conservative kits but it looks like nike is starting a new trend (i remember nike started the whole simple trend). its a really kool design. a new kick in the kit industry. to be honest i would have prefered it this was a grey watercolour because it will satisfy those who like this design and those who still want a conservative, elegant look. also i like the fit of the shirt. i cant wait to see how adidas and the other companies will do to try and copy this.

NIke you have urself a very satisfied fan of your designs. keep it up!!!!

PS: just wish nike had that same mentality when they designed our USA kits with the eagle flag.

Learn to read, it's not a dragon it's a SERPENT, paying homeage to one of Inter's nicknames Il Serpente.

Anyways, definately buying one if I can

I don't get some of you lot - slating Nike for trying something new. I always hear you all complaining because a shirt is too bland and unoriginal, here Nike is trying something new, and it's awesome, but nope, the boo-boys are out in full. Shameless, the whole bunch of you.

I think it's great, between this and the Marseilles 3rd shirt, my two favorite so far. This season's away is good, and Inter have always had great away shirts, so why are people complaining? I absolutely love it!

I couldn't agree more. This kit is pure class but all these morons on here are laughing at it probably because the first commenter said "awful" so that made their minds up for them.

If the first comment had said "Wow! Inspired design! Well done to Nike for doing something original!" all the comments that followed would have been positive. Bunch of sheep on here I tell you.

The kit is cool as f_ck. End of story.

Excellent design, it's a nice fitted shirt and the dragon adds a dynamic factor to the white shirt. The Scudetto will look nice on this shirt. I would love to hear from the designer, I was present at last year's Inter Kit presentation and it was amazing.

Love it!

Wish my team (Dundee United) would try something original and imaginative like this. Beats catalogue jobs any day of the week.

BTW, as has been said many times, the snake design is particulary to Milan (the city) and as such it is not a dragon, it is not Chinese, Jackie Chan did not design it, it is not like a K-League top, or whatever other ignorant pish you want to spout. That said, the same folk who pass annoyingly ignorant comments like this are not the sort to read whatever anyone else has said.

Hence the ongoing cycle of ignorance... Gah.

Anyways, top shirt
