ipswich town 10-11 mitre away kit

Ipswich Town have unveiled an all black away kit for next season, with skipper Jon Walters and the players backing the new look.

The kit is black with white piping and mesh inserts and was selected by Town boss Roy Keane and the first-team squad as the look for 2010/11.

Jon is already a fan and said: "I've always thought black looks good for an away shirt. The players like it and I'm sure the fans will as well."

Town's Retail Manager, Elaine Hull, added: "The last black shirt proved to be the most popular away shirt we've ever produced."

As in recent years, the first 2500 shirts sold will carry the commemorative three stars, depicting the three major trophies the Club has won, the League Championship, the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup.

The shirt retails at £31.99 for juniors and from £41.99 for adults.

Kind of like it, but too many thin pipings, too busy up top.

Not sure about this. Not much contrast to the home kit...

That is just awful. The badge is neat, but the kit looks like a training top.

I heard it's Black to represent Newcastle United in memory of Sir Bobby Robson, where as the Newcastle United away shirt will be Blue to represent Ipswich, and sort of honour between his top 2 beloved clubs.

That would be so cool if they do that.

Better than the current away shirt, but I'd expect more from Ipswich, who normally get nicer kits than this.

i'm an ipswich fan, and i hate this. agree, it looks like a training kit. some of mitre's kits have been dire and this is another one. no imagination and too much pointless stuff going on around neck and sleeves.

and not happy that they've played around with the badge. do other clubs change badge colours to suit the kit as much as ipswich do? poor form.

bigchrisfgb : Ipswich have said that the previous black kit was the best selling Ipswich replica shirt ever, hence why they have chosen black for next season's away shirt. There is no proof in your statement at all. Surely if Ipswich were to have a shirt to honour Sir Bobby and his Newcastle connection, they would have had a black and white striped shirt.

Personally I like this kit, but as I have the previous black shirt, which is nicer, I will not be buying it. The mitre shirts aren't that nice either, poor quality really. And Ipswich really need to get decent shirt sponsorship. Who else has their owner's name on their shirt?! Well, Portsmouth couldn't do that or they'd be changing their kit 4 times a year at this rate...

It's not too bad a shirt overall. It will certainly be better than enything Norwich will muster! At least it's not yellow

Will go down well in League 1...but the sponsor will be out of date when Marcus Evans pulls out.

hm.. I don't mind the shirt looks like a trainning kit, in fact, I do not believe it looks like a trainning kit at all. I do mind, however, as JeremyD mentioned, too many thin pipings appeared on the shirt, thus ruined the overall image.

I give it a C, will I buy it, sorry, No.
