Northern Ireland mate. Easy mistake to make, but you don't want to open that can of worms...

I know Umbro are into the whole tailored thing just now but it's just not working for me with this top. It looks a bit like a cheap teamwear strip. I think it'd have worked better with the solid colour rather than the stripes.

I am an Englishman but married to a girl from Craigavon, so have a lot of friends and family from Northern Ireland and would love to see them do well.

I love the shirt and am tempted to get one, yet realise this simple act is a statement of sorts which really is quite pathetic. I hate all the politics and religion. It's nonsensical. Northern Ireland is a political country, a region and I am very fond of it and wearing the shirt would simply be reflecting that fondness rather support for any factions.

Thats a very SHI*E idea from a bigotted mind!!! Orange does not represent our country! Not even the majority of the prod side either! I'm a protestant and have absolutly no affiliation too, interest in or love for the orange order!! I love Northern Ireland! And am always proud to pull on the emerald green of our shirt and will cheer us on till the day in die! I just wish folks like you would stop giving us a bad name and so maybe half the population in our country would feel like the team belonged to them aswell and not just the orange order! Wise Up!!

I believe that, just as with shirts, Northern Ireland have a better record in World Cup finals than the Republic, incidentally with Northern Irish players, not a "who's who" of the British Isles.

Also, neither of our teams made it this time. Does that mean by your logic that this World Cup matters?

Nice shirt, will probably buy it, as, believe it or not, will a lot of people from Northern Ireland and beyond, Nationalists and all.

People let's comment on the kit and forget the politics. I think it is an absolute cracker-truly classy.

I'd love to see Scotland in a tailored-by-Umbro kit reminiscent of their 1978 one and some other remakes; no chance of that-let's hope Adidas can do a good job with them for the tenure of their contract. But I for one am "old-school" and always felt the "Home Nations"/Ireland should be kitted out in Umbro.

That said, I don't care for new designs and all that mumbo-jumbo about technology that's marketing schtick for suckers.-The old designs/classic ones were best because they were classy, simple and timeless and remind us of an era where the badge on the kit meant everything.

Sorry for the long-winded comment.

the team that plays in the republic broke away from the IFA, therefore Northern ireland are the original 'ireland' team. The Northern Irish support consists of protestants and catholics. The republic of ireland support, in northern ireland, consists of only republicans/nationalists that air their support as a means of making a political statement without really supporting the actual side or even attending republic of ireland games. As for the kit, its plain and looks like a training top.
