ireland 2010 umbro home kit

Today Monday 15th February, 2010 UMBRO officially unveiled the new Ireland Home Kit 2010 at Carroll's FAI Store, Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2.The kit has been given a complete makeover with a darker shade of green or ‘St Patrick's Green', a new version of the FAI crest trimmed in gold, gold seam detail and a new anatomical design which brings together performance and style.

The new home kit will be worn for the first time on 2nd March when the Republic of Ireland face Brazil in a friendly at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and will be available for purchase from the 11th March from Carroll's FAI Store, Westmoreland Street, Dublin 2 and online from the FAIshop and the FSC Shop.

Commenting on the new kit Jonathan Courtenay from UMBRO, said "At UMBRO we pride ourselves on innovative kit design, I believe that it is the best kit we have produced for Ireland since our partnership began in 1994. Through individual fitting sessions with the Republic of Ireland Team we were able to create a bespoke smart fit for each player. The players loved the kit when we showed it to them late last year and I can't wait to hear the fans feedback".

For a closer look at the new Republic of Ireland Home Kit 2010 and to watch an exclusive behind the scenes video of the design concept, fans should log onto eircom's SoccerRepublic.ie. Since February 11th soccer fans have been given an exclusive preview of the new kit on eircom's Soccer Republic website in advance of today's launch.

This os one of the best kits that i have ever seen, not too retro, not too modern, just a lovely mix between the two, to be honest the Eircom actually suits the shirt.

It's part of their sponsorship agreement that replica kit have the logo on them like a club shirt.

I know it's stupid, but what can you do. The FAI feel like they need the money more than not being a laughing stock.

I must say though, on this shirt, it doesn't look dreadful. It just looks like a club shirt. It could be worse. Like the last few outings, it could be bloody orange.

Even without Henry's hand you STILL were NOT qualified!!!!!

Keane didn't set out to deceive the referee against Georgia unlike Henry. Keane said afterwards that he didn't have a clue what the penalty was awarded for.

VERY different situations that aren't in any way comparable unless you're Roy Keane and want to stir some shit.

Excellent. Nice and simple, miles ahead of some the over-complicated rubbish that umbro have inflicted on us all over the years (though the circular late 80s badge with the single shamrock would be so much better than the Israeli copy). Will this be available without the Eircom logo on it?

It's 2010 for f**ks sake not 1970!! All of this "tailored" stuff is junk, if you want that type of shirt then buy a retro one. A rubbish marketing gimmick from Umbro, they are doing it because they cannot come up with any new decent MODERN designs.

Hey great. You smart guys realize Ireland has a sponsor on their shirts.Respect!

Since when do you follow football? 2007, or 2009?

Through the 90s and even earlier Ireland had OPEL, for the last ten years approx. they have Eircom.

That can´t be new to anyone who is a half decent football follower.....

Was in the FAI Store in Dublin at the weekend - you CAN now buy the jersey WITHOUT the sponsor on it.

You just need to ask the bloke behind the counter about it.

Have one myself - class bit of kit
