Commenting on the announcement Jonathan Courtenay, Director of football at Umbro said;
“I’m delighted that we have been able to put this great initiative together. It is sure to be a winner and I’m delighted to be working with the Irish Cancer Society again after the success of the pink jerseys Umbro did for the League of Ireland champions Shamrock Rovers and for Bohemian FC in 2009. The Rovers Pink kit sold out in 3 days and I think with this being an Ireland shirt we would hope for a similar record sell-out time. I would also like to thank our FAI/Umbro partner stores and 3 mobile for their support of the project. I’d advise anyone who wants one to act fast and pre-order it on-line as the initial interest has been huge”.
Commenting on the announcement Jim O’Malley of the Irish Cancer Society said;
"We are absolutely delighted that Umbro is working with Action Breast Cancer. Through their support, Umbro has played an important lead in fundraising for this increasingly common and often life-altering disease. One in 11 women living in Ireland will develop breast cancer during their lifetime so it is imperative that we continue to promote the breast awareness message and continue to raise vital funds enabling Irish scientists to find new therapies to prevent breast cancer, better techniques to diagnose it accurately and ultimately new treatments which will cure it. Umbro is coming up with fresh and exciting ways to raise funds and we hope that in the future we will see more initiatives like this.”

No, it's a shirt fans can buy to wear...
you wouldn't be so immature if your mother, sister, aunt or cousin had breast cancer, would you. grow up you fool.
idiot u have it
we all know that you are. go back to your boyfriend
SAME SHIRT BUT.... (DRUMS)............ PINK!!!!!
ANOTHER ATTEMP TO STEAL FROM THE FANS
THIS IS RIDICULOUS
10% ? ARE YOU SERIOUS? they pay like other 4 pounds to chinese childs for making it, so you`re still winning 32 pounds!
this is ridiculous
you are an idiot...it's a fund raising shirt!!!!!
If they are going to do this, it should be done properly, with a much larger percentage going to the charity. Otherwise, it shows that this is, quite blatantly, just a way of using a charitable cause in order to sell more replica shirts.
Still great cause.
why the f**k is pink only associated with being censored???? in Victorian Britain it was boys that wore pink and girls that wore blue. go learn something small minded fool.
Congratulations on watching QI
Sposor logos on national shirts, even the ones just for the fans or charity, or whatever, is a slippery slope.
What the funk does "3" have to do with Ireland?
It ruins a otherwise nice shirt for me.
-that woude be greath from 3.
As it stands, it's a token gesture. One for bollock cancer might be an idea too, though I have no no idea which colour they would choose for that.
It's been made to raise awareness - fair enough. But primarily it's riding on the back of the current trend of awareness in order to make, first and foremost, money for Umbro.
I'd rather stick twice the £4 in the fund and NOT buy one just on the principles
I just realized. Holy run-on sentence Batman
What if someone was wearing it because their mum has breast cancer ??
what the hell its for cancer u dumb ass.
they are taking piss with only donating 10% though and why didn't they put a pink ribbon on the front instead of a bloody 3 logo.
its for cancer u idiot can u see the ribbon
