The replica version is nicer. As always Japan have a very classy kit.

They are part of the new Adidas technology called Techfit, which provides a major adjustment to the muscles and increased recovery from them. These are strips of the streaming technology.
Now the player can choose between using this design, and one that is looser.
I also believe that those strips are not black, but are dark blue.
Very nice design

That's pretty cool if you ask me; the watermark on the front looks awesome.
Don't really get the black stripes all over the kit though.

Big fan of Japanese football kits, have a couple already and will definately be getting this one. Well done to the JFA for contstantly getting the most from their kit providers, in this case Adidas.

So, I prefer the replica version. A nice kit, though. Simple except for those lines.

i'm a japan national team supporter, but this is one hideous kit. I could get used to it, but the alignments of the logos are all wrong, its too much for the front.

Upper one is not replica version.
Both are authentic.
So, strictly, Japan kit has 3 version.

replica version has neck tag.
And clima cool shirt.

Too many annoying little details. Would look better as a France shirt. Why do Japan play in blue anyway?

Japan allways have Terrific Kits , but this is not match to history of the JFA.
Don't like te template, meybe works better the cool watermark in the france template. But the fact that adidas and japan allways have new ideas is remarcable...

I think the Replica kit looks better, i dont understand how that will put the numbers and letters on top of that black stuff. it will look really tacky.

The back has the same design as a lot of the high end tech fit products adidas makes. I agree, though--those lines don't belong on a soccer jersey--better underneath, out of sight.

Ah, so those strange gray designs are called Techfit. Not a fan of the appearance, but if it helps the players on the pitch then who cares? Thankfully the replicas won't have that and they're still formotion.

I think it's a brilliant shirt.

-The red square under the collar
- The japanese flag over the crest

- I prefer the old yellow crest

Why the feathers design on the background?

Quoting FDV:
Why the feathers design on the background?

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
The symbol of the JFA is the Yatagarasu, a mythical three-legged raven that guided Emperor Jimmu to Mount Kumano. Yatagarasu is also the messenger of the supreme Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu.

The feathers are supposed to represent the Yatagarasu.

The catchphrase up top, '革命へ導く羽' basically means "the wings of a revolution'.

We don't really like it at all over @ BigSoccer, I'd be cool with it without that ugly red thing. I'm gonna go to the Adidas shop after work today and see it in person, maybe I change my mind.

Best Adidas kit so far, get rid of the ugly tech fit lines. I'm glad that they won't be wearing the tech fit jerseys at the Cup.

So, you have the Japanese flag, the JFA Crest, AND it says Japan under the crest? Overkill, anyone?

I've always been a fan of Japan's kits too, but each new one seems to get progressively worse. Why'd they change the crest!?

I am half japanese, and a big fan of our nat. team. We didn't understand why they had to change the crest... we all loved the yellow in it.
As for the kit, I love almost everything about it...
Except for the red. I am not trying to criticize JFA or ADIDAS, but I just generally preferred the yellow in the kit.

cool (no, awesome) jersey none the less.
Worth the wait from September, when the release dates where released.

I got this kit because i like the country and the japanese, i like it alot, only thing is the collar hangs too low for my liking so i wear a t-shirt underneath it, would have been better with a classic round neck collar.

The red square looks like a baby bib! Red, first of all, doesn`t look nice flat on blue because it tricks the eye making it look slightly pink. Same goes for Frances kits. Like the previous Japan kits, I`ll pass on this one.

Traditionally Japan has been wearing Blue and the new colors seem to be a perfect fit.
