Lille OSC 10/11 Umbro Home Shirt

Here are the Lille OSC home and away shirts produced by Umbro for the 2010/11 Ligue 1 season.

The new kits follow Umbro's style of stripping away all unnecessary parts of the shirt and just keeping the basics to produce a classy overall tailored look.

The home shirt is pretty much the same template as Manchester City's 09/10 black away shirt, with the same style collar and shoulder flashes, but in Lille's red and white combination, a change from past shirts which usually contained some dark blue.

The away shirt is also quite similar to the above mentioned Manchester City away shirt, just with a more classic collar style like that of the England home shirt.

Umbro take over the reigns from Canterbury, whose European division was bought out by JD Sports earlier this year after going into administration.

LOVE the home kit, very nice collar and colour.
But the away kit is not very nice. The colour combination makes it look cheap.

Nice shirt, love the collar on it. Hope the Sunderland home kit is similar... Umbro are producing the best kits as far as I can see.

Home jersey is Forest, away is City.
And Umbro become the latest unoriginal, template following, kit manufacturer.
But...
It doesn't matter! Who really cares if this kit is similar to another teams kit? If you have an awesome girlfriend, and your best friend gets an awesome girlfriend, who wins?
Everybody!

OK, all this is very funny and beautiful, but... why Umbro is not yet in almost all european countries?
To give you an example, I am portuguese, and in my country, there is no any clube sponsored by them.
It's shameful!

Shanahan made a great point,
but why would Umbro make a jersey with buttons but no collar? (home)

umbro have used this design before - anyone remember england euro 88 shirt (plus celtic, rangers and more from around that time....
