I wouldn't expect anything other than either blue or orange out of that hun club. Would be some shock on the hun side of Belfast if they released a green kit

I am suprised that a website like this lets people (monaghan united) insult people in such a way. I would have you know I am not a hun and actually live in a very respectable part of Dublin and attend Chapel every week. It really is small minded people like you that have the country in the condition it is in. If you have nothing good to say then say nothing.

Top is okay but I can't believe they would go for an orange away strip.

Top is very similar to the Rangers 2002 away strip and the orange strip is a bit of cheap way to try and get shirt sales from the folk who buy into all that stuff.

You mean William "Winkie" Murphy. Most of the linfield players are part-time so he could be a plumber

if the universtiy of Florida had a competitive football club, this would be the ideal strip, except the away strip would be black, blue and a hint of orange. thats the tradtion in florida,

btw im a englishman

Well done Umbro. Orange and Royal Blue is one of the sweetest colour combinations ever. Very fresh and nice. This shirt would be sold out in an instant if it was a Glasgow Rangers away shirt.

Northern Ireland as stuck in the past as usual. Maybe that's why their league is ranked below the Faroe Islands in the UEFA legue coefficients, with only Luxembourg, Andorra, Malta and San Marino below them.

"Northern Ireland as stuck in the past as usual" Why for having an Orange shirt? Its the people stuck in the past that get so worked up about a colour of a football shirt.

The colour orange is associated with Unionism in Northern Ireland and the Republic of ireland. Linfield are a unionist supported club. Whats the big deal its not a crime to be a unionist?

"Maybe that's why their league is ranked below the Faroe Islands in the UEFA legue coefficients" Yeah good theory, nothing to do with the fact the majority of the fans travel to Scotland or England to watch better football each week.

Just you let you know I am not a Linfield fan.

I wonder how it will sit with their all-inclusive new non-sectarian ethos
Shouldn't the sponsor be IFA.com instead ?

Why must orange be considered sectarian? Its JUST a colour!! Yes i can understand the history and all that as i live in NI myself, but like seriously its the folk that care about colour that need to move on! Just cuz their a prodominantly protestant supported club must they then avoid ever wearing the colour orange in order to be 'inclusive'? No one ever comments on The green and white hoops of the various Celtic clubs (wheres the orange in their design? i thought Celtic clubs where in some way associated with ireland? Isnt the flag, Green White and Orange?) or Hibs all Green? Why is orange sectarian and never Green?
Really the reality is neither is sectarian, their just colours? We only make it sectarian if we choose to view stuff in that way and 'live in the past'. Wise up lads, really!
Anyways... Not really a fan of the kit tho... bit garish and a 90s throwback. But thats purely aesthetic point of view.

While it's a bit sad, booing Celtic players at Windsor is sectarian but booing Rangers players at Lansdowne/Aviva is fun and just a bit of craic !!

Well said comberrover matey. These tits only view it in a secarian way ffs, get over yourselves. They have had pink kits, red kits, white kits (all away) and the 1 year they release an orange 1 theres a crying session.

Dry yer fecking eyes girls. Btw i dont support linfield in any way, i support crusaders.

its easy to jump to conclusions

Sean,

I'm glad you commented.

Linfield are a club that have come a long way in recent years. From a time when having a Catholic playing for the club would have been unheard of to having a team whose starting XI is predominantly Catholic. It is great to see the diversity at the club.

I know many Catholics that come and watch Linfield week in week out and never get any trouble. The only time there is any nonsense is when there is a big game and all the "Big Game Charlies" decide to come along and sing their "party" songs.

I don't really like the top myself, because I think Orange football tops look horrendous. Umbro were very shrewd to bring out such a coloured top, especially at the time of the year they did. It was good business sense on their part.

I am proud to support a team like Linfield who are drenched in history and who have made such massive strides in recent years to become all inclusive in the new Northern Ireland.

Sometimes I wish others would follow suit. Cliftonville, for example, did not have one Protestant in their squad last season.
