Málaga CF 10/11 Li-Ning Kits

Here are the new Málaga CF kits for the 2010/11 La Liga season, produced by Chinese manufacturer Li-Ning.

This is the first shirt made by Li-Ning that Málaga will have played with since leaving from Umbro. Li-Ning will also be sponsoring fellow La Liga side Espanyol.

The home shirt sees a little bit of change from last season's light blue and white striped shirt with a reintroduction of darker, royal blue stripes although they are in a gradiented fashion and turn into light blue stripes further towards the top of the shirt. The 'Boquerón' symbol remains on the back of the shirt near the collar. Boquerón being the nickname of the club and translating as 'Anchovies' in English. Along with it will be the flags of Málaga, Andalucia and Spain. Above this are the words 'Memoria - Compromiso - Fe' which in English means 'Memory - Commitment - Faith'

The away strip is a tribute to the 70th anniversary of La Rosaleda, the stadium of Málaga, and sees a return to black. Also present is a sash in the club's colours of white and blue.

The third shirt comes in an orange colour, something that was on the wish list of Málaga fans and is a continuation from last season when a third shirt was required for a few games and an orange one was made. The third also contain the motto of 'Memoria - Compromiso - Fe' along with the 'Boquerón' logo present in the home kit.

Think it would look better if the blue stripes were lighter and consistant, with the shorts abd socks a light blue too.

Pish. Was looking forward to a new Umbro design, possibly tailored or even just a better cut like Bilbao's.

Li-Ning my arse. That black away strip would be a cracker in an Umbro template, but the baggy arms and wide neckline kill this strip dead.

Piss poor effort.

Listen to you all...slagging these well designed shirts off. Experts? Geeks! Li Ning is new to the European market and good luck to them. Great effort, very pleased with the home and away kit.

I think that's a pretty decent first effort from Li-Ning. The designs are very neat, tidy and modern and based on the detailing of the crest on the nape, I would say they have done their homework well.

Why is there so much discontent at the change? Poor quality? Be honest, have any of you even worn a Li-Ning shirt? They may be a Chinese brand, but they are a huge multi-national listed company and they have nabbed a good portion of Nike's design team. Unless you've already bought this kit or tried it out in a shop, I would urge you at least give it a try before making comments.

I think the crticism is based on the cut of the shirt. Maybe the players are wearing one size too big, but they look really wide and the collars look uncomfortable. Not many people can comment having worn a Li-Ning shirt so they can only comment on the look. And these shirts look like they have been plucked straight from the early nineties.

Who said that Li-Ning would be an unknown and crappy brand ? Li-Ning is a brand on the rise: they've already agreed sponsorship deals with Shaquille O'Neal, Asafa Powell and Yelena Isinbayeva, for example. Okay: Malage are not a first class club, but the deal will help them raise their popularity in Europe

Very smart, though like the new FC Twente shirts ruined by a too-big sponsor.

And don't criticise Li-Ning (yet) without having tried them out. Remember, adidas, Nike, and companies like Li-Ning et al are all made in the same factories by the same people etc etc

Actually, the second shirt looks quite nice in this pic: http://i36.servimg.com/u/f36/12/56/56/12/111.png - I imagine they enhanced the pic, since the blue lines in the neck and the blue in the crest look too "shiny" there, and I might be used to recent designs, so I would've liked it more if it had something on the shoulders, but I think it's quite a good effort.

Shirts are OK, the home kit is the best here. 2nd kit sucks, 3rd better.
