manchester city 10-11 umbro away kit

To officially launch their smart new 10/11 Umbro away kit, a small City squad including Joe Hart, Emmanuel Adebayor, Micah Richards, Dedryck Boyata, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Wayne Bridge and Kolo Touré arrived at Sara D. Roosevelt Park NYC yesterday afternoon to play against some local footballers.

On the outside, the cotton pinstripe keeps the players looking sharp. On the inside, the special technical surface draws moisture away from the body and keeps cool. The sleeves feature a high stretch performance knit to give the players an uncompromised range of movement.

The new neckline incorporates a stretch insert for comfort and definition. Umbro also added City's home colour on the inside of the neck to stay true to the classic blue. The back shoulders are sewn to fit the body, for a complete football tailored fit.

What are the three stars supposed to represent? You can't just put stars above your badge to imply you've won things you haven't, surely to God!

While the stars are purely decorative, I think it's worth mentioning that City has won two championships, four FA cups and the European cup winners cup.
Why they don't have some combination of stars to commemorate that, I don't know

The 3 stars represent Freemasonry.
Man City's blue color is part of the freemason's culture, since one of their members rescued the team from bankruptcy a hundred years ago. Hence why they wear sky blue. Also the eagle you see is masonic.

The 3 stripes below are also masonic.
Man City was also established as a club on a day that represents the numerologic pathway number '33', which is a master number.

Blue polyester (or "technical surface" if you're a w4nky marketing bod)and blue cotton will never be identical.
I like the structure of the umbro tailored range but they should really experiment with daring colours.

i am honestly disappointed. i like the idea of using gold and black with our away kit last season so i was expecting something like that rather than using small amounts of sky blue

Basically the england away shirt then? Socks are horrendous and the fabric looks like it is more of a cotton t-shirt type material as opposed to the more common fabrics used. Not really my bag this one, but thats just opinion. Also the gk kit appears to be that same as last years.

That cotton-like material is amazing - I love it on the current England kits, much better than cruddy shiny polyester football shirt material

not the biggest fan of this kit. Its smart enough I guess but this 'tailored' range is getting a bit boring now. I do love the retro and simplistic kits, but it's almost becoming a template. As Jarkko said its just the England away kit. And those socks are ridiculous.

The Umbro Southampton kits and the Man City third kit are easily their best kits so far from this range. They need something individual for the teams rather than the same kits with different badges/sponsors.

Shirts quite nice though.

What kind of porn are you watching?

These colours have nothing to do with Citeh and it's clearly only this colour so it will go with jeans.

The collar is gash

Even though it's not a very traditional color for City, the midnight blue looks good. Those socks were a bit of a shock when I first saw them with all those mini-hoops, but they're quickly growing on me. Apparently they help with visibility on the pitch. It was going to be tough to match last season's kits -- easily the best set of kits I've ever seen in the game -- but Umbro did a very decent job. If last season's kits were an A+, this season's are an A or A-.

Man City have without a doubt the best kits in the premier league for the second year running, umbro seem to put that little bit extra in with the man city kits, their templates are always slightly unique compared to the rest of the tailored range

I usually don't like Umbro kits, but these are absolutely stunning!

The jerseys and shorts look very classy, and the socks are a great topping.

Umbro took a high risk with this one - especially with the socks - but they took it for good... very well done!

Not very good, but not to worry. They'll only wear it once or twice next season (though they'll still charge full price) and then City and Umbro will have devised a new design for season 11/12

We're trying to appeal to the "urban" market. This is our proposed "all-urban" XI we'll be using in Carling Cup games from next season:

[New black goalkeeper]
Richards, K. Toure, Boyata, Boateng
Y.Toure, De Jong, Vieira
Wright-Phillips, Adebayor, Balotelli

Oh Garry, your club's tour of the US was a big fat FLOP. Crap results, empty stadiums and no public interest whatsoever.

Why don't you guys just f_ck off to Abu Dhabi for your pre-season next year, I'm sure the Sheikh could buy every ticket in every stadium and pay local peasants to sit in the crowd and watch your boring games.
