This is dreadful. I'd have gladly taken the home template in white with a black or red collar. This one is a mess. Woeful effort from Nike.

So frustrating that they finally get their act together and produce a great home shirt but then couple it with this monstrosity.

Hi,

I work in the nike megastore in manchester, i don't normally comment on a website like this, but with being a massive united fan myself i can confirm that this is not the away shirt but the 3rd shirt.........the away shirt is white and red with gold trim.

I can also confirm that the home shirt on this site is also correct, however both shirts are only templates at this moment in time.

I hope this clears things up for fellow united supporters!

Pity this is real to be hounest. I work for a major sporting retailer (not going to tell you which one), the company sends there managers off to a Nike training corse every year and they get to see the new kits on this training corse, which happened a month ago today as of the date i post this comment. My manager described EXACTLY the design for this kit to me, same for the home shirt. Which sucks because there both not very nice :\

this reminds me of New York MetroStars kit back in 1996 (interestingly enough made by nike) it looks like a training top to me or fan apperal. i hope it is at least. im a big nike fan but this isnt a design i expected. i hope the away kit will carry the same all black with the sky blue trim. i think thats a nice combination.

i can not see Nike and the debt ridden owners saying lets re-release a shirt that's a few seasons old. no money in that. would be more logical to have a training top doubling up as a third shirt

Not sure - perhaps you're worrying about nothing and should ask United. I'm a retailer and I know that this is the only new shirt for 2010 along with the HOME shirt

"a few seasons old"? It only came out this season, it's not even 12 months old yet. They did the same thing with the blue 2005/06 away when the sponsors changed from Vodafone to AIG, don't forget.

You morons. These are the fakes Nike always leaks a few months before the launch. Remember all of the ridiculous ones last year? The retro tie-up kit? Fact is, none of them looked anything like the eventual kits.

Nike monitors these kind of boards, figures out what fans like us are bantering about, then issues a cheap fake to throw us off and get the Asian markets going. I do believe the new home kit will have a collar but I'd imagine they'll look more like the World Cup templates than this.

Bottom line: THESE AREN'T REAL!

The return to white with red and black trim is great (about time), but the shirt itself looks fairly tacky. The collar looks exactly like the one on the new Brazil home, so it does tie in with Nike's new WC shirts.

I know there were a lot of hoax shirts doing the rounds this time last year (some very credible ones too) which all proved to be well off the mark, but if these ones are part of of some Nike-driven hoax to put counter-fitters off the scent then they've gone to serious effort with the staged photos of both kits taken at OT.

Reckon they are legit.

OMG THIS SHIRT IS AWESOME NIKE HANDS DOWN TO YOU. ITS NOT THE LOOKS WHICH ARE IMPORTANT BUT ITS FEATURES. IF YOU CAN SEE CLEARLY, THE SHIRT'S FABRIC ENABLES THE SMOOTHEST TOUCH OF THE BALLS SO THAT WHEN YOU CHEST THE BALL, YOU WILL CONTROL IT VERY EASILY SO STOP CRITICISING IT. BUT THE SHIRT IS ONLY 5% FABRIC SO THIS MEANS THE SHIRT WILL STINK VERY EASILY SO BEWARE. YOU WONT SEE MAN U FANS WEARING THIS BECAUSE THEY THINK IT IS ABSOLUTELY TOO AMAZING THAT THEY WILL STOP CALLING THEIR TEAMS THE 'RED DEVILS' BUT WILL CALL THEM THE 'WHITE ANGELS'

mark my words, i got a TIME MACHINE and I have seen the future. Next season Man U will finish outside the top 4 and the season after that they will go into administration. after that they will get releated and the season after that they will be busted
