Boro's new-look adidas home kit goes back to the future with a return of the famous white chest band, while the club have also unveiled a new cobalt blue away strip.
With Boro set to start the 2010-11 campaign without a seasonal shirt sponsor, for the first time in 30 years fans will have the unique and potentially one-off opportunity to buy logo-free home and away shirts.
The home shirt features the white chest band first worn by Jack Charlton's Boro champions of 1973-74, complete with retro white collar and completed with white shorts and red socks.
Both home and away kits go on sale exclusively to Season Card holders on Friday July 30 with general sale from Saturday July 31.

The new-look home and away goalkeeper's kit is also available now for pre-order. The home keeper kit is all black, while the away version features sunshine yellow shirts and black shorts.
Inspired by tradition and engineered for performance, both home and away shirts feature adidas' cutting-edge Climacool technology, with a combination of performance fabrics, open mesh and ventilation channels designed to keep cool air flowing in, and heat and sweat flowing out.
The cobalt blue away kit uses adidas Formotion engineering to follow the shape of the wearer's physique for a better fit and greater comfort while in motion.
Terry Boland, Boro's Head of Retail, said: "We are confident that the return of the popular chest band to a new-look home shirt and our stunning new away strip will both prove winners with the fans."
While both home and away shirts will be available to purchase logo-free, supporters will also have the option of adding monthly sponsor logos if they wish.

The away is decidedly so-so.
I'm currently in discussion with Boro for their shirt sponsorship for September - Fridge Freezer For Sale, £400 o.n.o.
But definitely one of the better home kits for the coming season. Possibly the nicest Adidas kit for 2010/11.
I can't believe people won't buy them without a sponsor's logo though. Ugly sponsors logos that make the wearer into a walking billboard are what stops me from buying them!
Will the fans version be without sponsor?
Away = boring, and Slovakia
........Yawn. It is mint mate
Not seen the home template before

and i bet there are more coming…
Away is a disappointment though. Hull/Stoke/Plymouth template in blue & black stripes would have been a massive hit IMO
First time in about 3 years ive been genuinely looking forward to a season & it's nice to have a home shirt to be proud of.
Come on Boro
lovely lovely geezers
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu wall!!!!!!
The design itself, to me, seems the most faithful to what defines a Boro kit in recent years. Boro fans are really fortunate to not have a sponsor (spare a thought for the poor WBA fans with that red house all over theirs).
The only thing bothering me about this kit though is the shorts. They have what looks like a baggy part on the front, like maternity wear or something.
great kit tho... the white band is always a winner....

I think it looks better without a sponsor too, why anyone would want the name of some online betting company or similar splashed across their kit I have no idea. Obvioulsy the club want the money, but I don't understand why fans want a sponsor on the kit.
Away kit is a bit dull.
