Millonarios 2010 bicentennial away adidas shirt

As a tribute to the bicentennial of Colombia, Millonarios and Adidas presented a new away shirt for the team from Bogota.

On July 20, 1810, Colombia won independence. Independence from Spain was won in 1819, but by 1830 "Gran Colombia" had collapsed with the secession of Venezuela and Ecuador. What is now Colombia and Panama emerged as the Republic of New Granada.

The new nation experimented with federalism as the Granadine Confederation (1858), and then the United States of Colombia (1863), before the Republic of Colombia was finally declared in 1886.

The new away shirt features the colours of the national flag and will be sold as a limited edition.

As a supporter of the team I don't like it; as Colombian I don't feel it too what's the point of making a shirt from a club commemorative It'd been better to see a National Team tribute shirt, however I value the intention. And after all of that, it sucks.

Unimpressive, lacks any kind of thought. If you are going to come out with a shirt for a special occasion at least put something special into the kit, don't just mix up some colours on a pre-existing template. Adidas has turned out some pretty weak efforts the last few seasons.
