new zealand 10-12 nike home kit

Nike unveiled the New Zealand 10/12 Home Kit which is designed for increased performance with lower environmental impact, and will be worn at the World Cup 2010. 8 plastic bottles are used to produce one jersey in the new Nike kit, which will be available through the FSC Shop.

The innovative uniform is designed to keep the players drier, cooler and more comfortable to allow them to maintain an optimum body temperature and perform at their best on the field. With improved Nike Dri-Fit fabric, which is 13 percent lighter than before, players can stay drier by drawing sweat to the outside of the garment where it evaporates.

There are also ventilation zones on each side of the jersey – up to 200 tiny laser cut holes – so air can pass across a player’s whole torso to keep him cooler. There are also additional ventilation zones on the kit’s shorts below the waistband and near the space of the spine, areas that are prone to high sweat levels.

You'll all say it's boring, but that is by far this World Cup's best kit.

Keeper shirt is win.

I totally agree, this shirt is class because of its simplicity (a plain white kit for a team nicknamed the All-Whites is just what it takes), but I'd prefer socks without the black line going to the front. Maybe a light vertical black line on the calf would have been enough.

Well said! The kit's a stunner, the waste-reduction concept great, and the presentation simple breathtaking.

Love the shirt, so pure.

I would have liked the socks to just have a thin black stripe at the top to match the stripes on the shorts and the lines on the sleeves, but it's still class.

Gonna take a while to get used to the sleeves on the GK shirt.

Meh... not impressive.
Do you really think Nike made the shirt with the theme of simplicity? They couldn't care less about New Zealand.
In fact, it looks more like a traning shirt than the acutal match shirt. Of course New Zealand currently is and most likely will not be one of the top teams that Nike sponsors, so no wonder they got a shirt has more template qualities than the top teams.

Eh, I prefer their black away kit. Tons of countries have white home kits, not a lot have black ones, so it would be nice to see.

What's with the NZ hating? Sure we are the strongest rugby nation in the world, but we are working our way up in the football world with our physical style. As for the kit, its nice but the black one is better.

the kit is very pure. i love the all white kit. though the socks sorta throw the kits pureness alittle off. but i still like. well done nike, ur range of kits are the most unique in the WC.

and btw people say nike couldnt care less about new zealand. well nike took the approach to put each of the countries identity in the kit. new zealand are known as the all white/ all blacks. so it is fitting that their kits are all white and all black. croatia has their checkered flag design, turkey has their moon cresent and star, korea are the tigers so they feature tiger stripes on their kit. usa has their 1950 tribute kit, slovenia has their mountain design from their coat of arms, holland are know as the orange lions. thats why i like nikes wc kits soo much. adidas kits are just templates. although i do digg the mexico black away kit.

but i said too much. pure kit. love it 5/5

I think you're giving Nike a bit too much credit there.

There's only so much you can do with an all-white kit, and this is smart enough, nothing wrong with it.

Croatia's kit has always been checkered, Nike can't take any credit for that. Turkey's kit has had the crescent moon and star on and off for decades. The new Nike Slovenia kit is a rip-off of an old Uhlsport kit, and since when have the Netherlands ever been known as the orange lions? Must be a Dutch thing...

the 3rd picture shows the best angle for this kit.

i like it its very pure and clean. and the black "bandaid" adds a nice subtle touch to it

Everyone, this is the New Zealand national football team that we're discussing here - they're known for being plain 'n simple, for their style of football. If you've ever met/befriended a Kiwi before, make sure not to mention their team to them. Cricket and/or rugby are the works for them :)

Lovely kit- puts our gold-with-green-shoulders tennis shirt to absolute shame. Again well done to the Ditchers for getting to the Finals, look forward to cheering you on against everyone except Australia and England in the offchance!
