newcastle united 10-11 puma away third kits

Newcastle United have revealed their latest change and third kits ahead of the start of the Barclays Premier League season, with the new Puma designs going on sale next month (Images below).

The new kits will be available to buy from the Official Club stores at St. James' Park, Eldon Square, Monument Mall and the Metrocentre on Thursday July 15.

Newcastle United Managing Director Derek Llambias said: "We're very pleased with the new kits and we're delighted with the look and design that Puma have come up with. They have delivered two eye-catching kits for the club and its supporters.

"I'm sure our new change and third strips will be well received by our fans and we're also looking forward to revealing our all-new home kit in a few weeks."

The last time Newcastle played in an all-blue kit was during the 2005/06 season, with the strip being used in the early part of United's Intertoto Cup campaign. But over the years, the colour has featured prominently, with blue used in the late 1960s and early 1970s for both the change and third kit.

Blue was also the colour as United made their bow in the Premier League during the 1993/94 season, and even got an airing at St. James' Park when visitors Sheffield Wednesday turned up with two away kits - one of which clashed with our famous black and white stripes and another which clashed with the referee's uniform.

It's now ten years since Newcastle wore all-white, with the away kit used in Sir Bobby Robson's first season in charge at United.

But the link goes back much further, with the Magpies famously donning a white strip against Sporting Lisbon at St. James' Park in 1968 on their way to Fairs Cup glory.

Details and images of Newcastle United's new Puma home kit will be released in the coming weeks.

Thanks to Sam

Here's an idea... instead of obsessing yourselves with our club, how about supporting your pathetic excuse of a club for a change.
Anyone would think all you mackems care about is the little problems we have.

Here's a thought: how about you guys think for a second and realize who was in the Premier League last season? Sunderland are crap, but Newcastle are a shit team with a shit owner playing in a shit stadium filled with shit fans. Disgraceful how they allowed the stadium's name to be changed.

Enjoy the one season back in the Premier League, then back to the Championship for you, Leeds 2.0! Big club my left nut. Bunch of inbred faggots up there, I tell ya.

This is coming from a neutral, for the record.

Poor Steve Harper! This could possibly be the ugliest goalkeeper kit ever made! Grey and peachy orange with wacky smoke details is plain nasty. The shorts are a slightly different shade and tone of grey to the shirt which create a look not seen since the first computer graphic from 1977. And his socks! Oh Christ! They are b-a-d! Honest to God they look like they've been knitted by his granny as some kind of sick joke. Look at them closely, they have managed to mess socks up! Socks.

The white kit isn't that bad, but is ruined by the cat on the shorts. What's the point of sticking it there? It can't be anything to do with design. Obviously when nature decided that a p*ssy would go over a c**k they had other things in mind. This is just ridiculous. The blue one is just the white one in blue. Both smack of template box-ticking.

This doesn't bode well for the home kit launch.

The Switzerland keeper had the same top on against Spain the other day..no one complained then..and he got the job done against Torres and co so whats the fuss?

Algeria keeper has the same design but purple in colour..

anyways the unveiled keeper top is the change keeper top..meaning, the home one is still to be unveiled..

They'd be alright if not for the collars and socks.

Like I said when they were leaked though, the white third kit is totally pointless - their home and aways will make sure they will not clash with any other team except those who play in blue and white stripes - in which case the white shirt will also clash. Where is the thought here?

This looks like they've been given teamwear templates, fortunatly they're nice enough, although as many others have said, the kits aren't imaginative in the slightest, especially when you look at Italy's, at least the have different colours on the collar, the darker blue print on the top and the italian flag at the top of the shorts, this literally looks like they're been on ProDirect and uploaded their team badge and sponsor onto it. Also seeing these kits become official means that the home top that was posted a couple of months ago looks like it's going to be real.

Newcastle will be wearing a Gold '40 year' celebration shirt for the match against Wigan at the DW Stadium. The club will produce just 2000 of these one off special shirts which will cost £69.99, but come in a special presentation box containing a book with some of Newcastles finest players such as Alan Shearer, Jacky Milburn, Rob Lee and Steve Howie (who is now very slim believe it or not).

There is no need for a third kit, not one thats white anyhow, it looks pretty nice, but its useless. It would have been nice if it had a black V on the front, the same design as one of the Toons first change kits.

Nice to see blue as the colour of the change shirt again, but as its been remarked, its a bog standard puma template kit.

As for clashing at Wigan, the home shirt is more black than white, so theres no need to use an away kit that day, and Wigan will more likely than not use broad white and blue stripes, so no clash.

The 09/10 kit was even between white and black apart from the white patch on the back which they were forced to have by league rules.
And this white kit is only a 3rd kit....the home kit will have black and white stripes
There is no imagination in these kits they are just something you would get from the puma teamwear range for anybody, and by the looks of it the crest is going to be a sticker instead of stitching, i won't be buying this kit adidas should never have been dropped

The keeper kit isn't bad. The pattern on the chest's weird, but other than that, the colours are nice, I'd be happy to have that as a change kit (though I'm not a Newcastle supporter). However the away and the third? Ugh, they're just inverted versions of each other, and they're both terrible. So boring, so ugly, and blue? Why blue? Can anyone explain the history of Newcastle using blue? Because a look at their change kit history shows only 13 years in plain blue, most years... not so much.

Straight out of the Puma Powercat:10 range, as worn by every other pub team next season. The shade of blue is quite nice, but they aren't anything to shout about.

When you see the clever designs being used by some manufacturers and the superb umbro kits out there, this is a bit plain and simple. Our total points this season will struggle to reach 30, hopefully enough to keep us up. I doubt many will come on the road whilst wearing this kits!!!

that puma logo on the waist is a silly place for the company to put it never mind putting in a place that looks good. they won't be advertising the brand unless some old fashioned player tucks their shirt in.

ok kit, but no thought has gone into it, its as if newcastle have went into a sports direct store and asked for the 'team' kit selections for sunday league teams.
