These pictures, of what seem to be the Newcastle United Home, Away and Third football shirts made by Puma were published on Newcastle-online.
Back in January, Puma and Newcastle United Football Club signed a new partnership that sees the leading sports lifestyle brand become the official supplier and the official licensee of replica merchandise for Newcastle United.
The new deal will see Puma supply team kit, replica kit and training equipment for two years starting from the beginning of the 2010/2011 season.

You Are Essentially A censored! Without The Labia, Clitorus. e.c.t
This has often been a problem with Newcastle, who for some reason frequently have dark blue or grey away kits, which end up still clashing with the home kits of the teams they are playing.
It shouldn't be allowed imo.
Home shirt is a mess, crap collar, northern rock logo looks like me ma's ironed it on, and don't get me started on the badge (which isn't even placed central in line with the stripe). More than likely there won't be stripes on the back of the shirt and we'll have another crap black patch for the names and numbers.
Away shirt is shite as well, just bring. Overall both shirts look like they've been made on the cheap, but they'll charge 40 quid a pop.
haha clearly not photoshopped, fool
They look 110% real. Whether they are the actual shirts they'll where next season is another matter... but the shirts are actually there and the printing/stictching etc is also real.
I think you've mistaken the '99 kit for every newcastle kit there has been. I'm pretty sure they're always stripes. You been in a coma for 11 years?
I think IanSF was referring to the stripe edges rather than the overall striped design. This shirt has a kind of saw-tooth pattern where the stripes meet, just as the '99 home shirt did.
Whether these are fakes or not I don't know but I do generally prefer the adidas designs those of puma. Adidas just seem to put more effort into their designs

newcastle mantains the tradition of making UGLY away jerseys.. well done!
End of.
Newcastle have a different away kit like every season.
So what? Everyone does

Bow down to the real pride of the Northeast, you inbred censoreds.
what a retard, typical red and whiter
The whole "black cat" thing is ridiculous anyway. After decades the SAFC board stop and think "Actually, we might need a nickname. Let's put a vote out to the fans!". Absolutely pathetic.
It shouldn't even need to be said, but Sunderland as "the pride of the North East"? Maybe you should tell your players that so they can move out of NE1. Oh, and tell all the tourist information offices too! I'm sure they'll love having to redo the Visit England advert to remove the Tyne from the advert in exchange for a carbon copy of the Tyne Bridge and... oh right, that's all you lot have got around there, haven't you?
Anyway, on topic I don't like the change kits at all. Very plain, very boring and too much like the Italy kit (add the guido decor and you've got the same kit with different badges!) an it seems like some little get has written on the third kit (maybe in an effort to make it more interesting...)
even if it was black at least its a south american killing machine & not a mangy black moggie scrounging for left over greggs pasties in pennywell like your badge you ignorant inbred mackem fool.

It looks shit on them too.
The reason cardiff's shirt looks like s h i t is because the club can't afford bog roll and are using their shirts.
Roll in the administrators !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesnt look right where it is.
Having said that, it is a nice set of kits, the Away looks a bit like Italy's....But on the home, I like the white detail around the crest.
Look at the way the stripes join - a feature commonly seen on Newcastle shirts - also the collar has only been introduced for the coming season in club football.
Show me another team who have used this ''template'' and i'll be amazed.
Here's Uruguay's away shirt.

Are you know "amazed"?
-Hate the puma logo in the middle, would have liked the Crest to have been larger then usual and the theme being more retro.
-Absolutely hate the Northern Rock Logo and I've hated them for the previous two home kits witht he felt slab. They should have kept to the style that has been used before and is still used on the away kits. This time though it looks like a iron on graphic and not felt so maybe this isn't a photoshop job but a layout of a possible kit from inside puma given that the photo is taken with the shirts on a wooden floor?
-On the other hand they've made the puma logos on the sleeves smaller which is a slight improvement but they don't need to have 3 of the same logo on a shirt.
Away kit: Nothing special, just a generic template probably based for Cardiff
Third kit?: Toon Army - yes a nice gesture to the fans that sell out SJP every week but you'd think they would have gone for Magpies as its about the team, the club...
of the crest look shity
i was waiting for this. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/fbfiles/images/nufc10homen.jpg
im really disappointed.
It's a mess of a shirt, it looks like the designer designed this with a blindfold on. I'm actually surprised there wasn't a donkey's tail pinned in that gaping deadspace where the logo really should be.
Crikey, where do you start analysing this shirt? The badge and logo placing would be a good, or bad, place. The Puma logo centred would be fine if they had balanced it by placing the club badge underneath it, but for some reason they are perservering with the misguided trend for leaving a space where the brand logo should be. Obviously this style was created for international teams who have to have the player number on the front.
For club teams who don't need the number it just looks wrong. Very, very wrong - like green horses. The aforementioned deadspace it creates looks cheap.
The club badge straddling the stripes doesn't work at all. It creates a visual tension which just isn't pleasing to the eye. It would be bad enough if the badge was balanced with the logo on the opposite side of the shirt, but with the logo slapped above it and to one side the overall effect is unnecessarily disjointed and clunky, like a pissed breakdancer.
To make matters worse they have chosed to put a large stroke of white around the badge. This makes it look like an ironed on badge.
The less said about the NR logo the better as it was obviously plonked on as an afterthought.
At least it has black and white stripes though, but why do they have to stick those white flashes on the sides? Why not pare it down and do something classy like Umbro have been doing? The shirt looks like it wasn't given any love at the design stage, which is unforgivable.
Didn't the designer get a rush of adrenaling when they sat down to design this? Didn't they want to make a statement? As it is it looks like they either weren't bothered or, worse, they were stifled by a committee of marketing consultants who have no imagination, sense of style or clue.
If this the final design then so be it, but 5 minutes photoshopping partly saved the day. Puma, if you are reading this; why don't you consider tweaking your design?

And bigger club, yeah because youve spent far more time in the premier league and in europe....oh wait!!
It takes a geordie to to run your club in the premier league.
I must add though. It does look cheaply made.
I quite like the home top, there isn't really much you can do with black and white stripes to be fair!
Boring !!
whos the idiot you total knob head
best away top in a long time and we've got a strong tradition with yellow away kits.
these could just be fake ones but i cant imagine the real ones being much different.

Those type of decisions help you understand why that team was relegated two seasons ago
Ashley is a cheapskate but i think he knows not bite the hand that feeds him.
I'll wait for the offical unvailing before i believe any of these leaked pictures i mean the top one looks like its been taking with the shirts on someones patio!
the local one is juventus
and the away shirt looks like italy
Of course they're not official photo's they wouldn't be "leaks" if they were, they'd be photo's taken from an official launch. The fact they qualify as "leaks" is due to the fact that they've been taken by someone in possession of the shirts and posted online. Obviously there's nothing to say that they're 100% genuine but go and look at other pictures on this site, there's loads that aren't official, because they're leaks. Thats the whole point-They've leaked before the official launch, hence them being taken in random places.
zoom in to the stripes on the front..zigzag like the current home kit..
my conclusion..this is actually a fake using the current home kit with some Puma template to make it look real..
owh..look at the back of the collar..some reason the white outline of the collar stops..
The Puma logo looks like it has been put on there using paint..
FAKE
As for the home shirt - there's not really a whole load you can actually do with black and white stripes! Although I do hope that the shirt shown above isn't the actual release, I won't be terribly disappointed with it & like thousands others; I'll still buy it. (I agree that the badges look totally unbalanced and out of place though!)
Just a small note that I've noticed that no-one else seems to have mentioned. If you look at the second image of the front of the home shirt by its self, look at the black box housing the "northern rock", the material doesn't look like the "felt" type material we've had for the past 2 years, it almost looks slightly reflective and plastic - take particular notice to the right of the "h".
Not sure what everyone else thinks but I can't imagine a football shirt being released with plastic on it! (May be a prototype as people have mentioned I suppose).
Must admit i prefer the adidas though!
I work for Puma. However, not in a production Factory. Im actually a marketing representative and work mostly on the continent. I like to check this site quite a lot as I am a lifelong football fan and ultimately, a bit of a Newcastle nut! I heard yesterday that the site had posted pictures of the new toon tops so i got a bit exciited as I hadn't seen them! So, from my hotel i logged straight on and checked them out. I was very dissapointed to see the home kit looking rather bland but for the other two, well i quite like them. The blue one especially is probably the most bright and punchy looking footer shirt I've seen for any Premier League team so far this season.
Now...I'm going to put your mind at rest. I contacted a collegue who has contacts at the production factory in Asia. I waited a fair while for a response on the question but I asked him if he could check that the kits posted were the ones making final production. Well, they're not....not yet anyway.
The tops you can see above are only three of eight. All are prototypes and no definite desision has been made on the final kits.
I was notified that they had not started to produce any Newcastle tops yet, currently there are only the eight produced 3 of which you see above. There have been four home top prototypes made, and four away kit prototypes made. The white one above is an away kit option, not a third kit.
The club badges, and sponsor have been ironed for money purposes only. Embrioding the kit badge and sponsor on a prototype just isnt viable so thats the reason we haven't done it.
I have been advised that the collar is staying as is on above pictures however, one design does provide the Puma logo on the right hand side. There has also been a yellow, green and white away top prototyped...i have been informed.
There may be changes so dont expect these kits to be final products.
I would personally be happy for the blue away one mind.
How'ay the lads....
That certainly explains the dodgy looking badge and logos.
Recently there was supposed to have been a kit launch at SJP, this was cancelled -- so the excuse goes -- because of the ash. Puma execs were meant to have been stranded in New York. Can we read into this that officials at the club saw the final design and asked for improvements in the form of several new options or tweaks? That would seem to be the case.
hahahahahahaha

what i am trying to say is that newcastle are a pile of complete and utter shit. and this shirt is also a pile of turd.

censored the mags
sunderland are the best team in the north east and the geordie censoreds know it, theyre just too dillusional to admit it.
i work for puma these are fake
when you see the real ones you'll be blown away
So Im looking forward to the real jerseys and maybe the person who leaked these pictures were blown away by our real kits and so jealous of it, they did this mock up..
they're real
No design, no thought, no vision, absolute two bob!
As a person who is involved in the football manufacturing industry, I am gutted that Puma will get the benefit of the financial reward from the best supported club in the country..
Ashley has obviously sold out to the highest bidder who will/has done the least amount of time/effort in building/designing these shirts..

Thumbs down for puma.
