It is pretty plain. As far as I'm concerned when Nigeria left Nike there kits went downhill. They are one of the best sides in Africa and they have a second class kit. I'm hoping that an African side can break through and stick it to the elites at the cup. With Yakubu, Martins, Obinna and John Obi Mikel they might just be it.

Nigeria is not a strong side anymore in Africa .... they just qualified because of the weak teams in their group .... and if Tunisia had defeated Mozambique , Nigeria would not have qualified ..... there are no talented players in Nigeria anymore ...
someone like Jay-Jay Okocha .... Kanu .... are missing in the Nigeria squad .....

I dont think Adidas tried very hard on this kit because, when they designed it, Nigeria were not on course to qualify for the 2010 Wold Cup. Teams that are due to qualify or have already qualified, Adias always make them a good, unique kit, like Japan and South Africa. Teams that are not on road to qualify, just get a generic template. Back when this was make, Nigeria, were behind Tunisia in their group, and did no like likely to qualify.

Are France, Russia and Greece qualified, because they have already new kits?!

I will make it more simple for you, Teams that are good and are LIKELY to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, Adidas will make them a unique kit. Teams that are not likely to qualify, will get a generic kit, why waste time on a team that will not qualify, when Adidas made this, Nigeria were not LIKELY to qualify.

Basically, Adidas did not think Nigeria were going to qualify, so they gave them a generic kit, this kit was made when they were not in a position to qualify.

A bigger market, Zoran , a bigger market,
it's worth taking a risk with France, Russia and Greece, as their qualification would lead to far more sales than the nigerian. Although they should have waited with the introduction of the nigerian kit, and deliver something less generic. Just for the sake of prestige

On a side note, adidas is capable to provide nigeria with a good and suitable shirt, as they did 94.

I think the Greece is silly if your talking about markets. In Greece proper they're are maybe 10 million; around the world 15 million. Compare that to Nigeria at 136 million?

The average salary in nigeria is 300$p.a. that would leave a very slim margin for that pricey shirt. There is also a gap of 80 spots in the gdp ranking between those two. So Greece is never the less a way more profitable market.

Seems like Slovakia is the only remaining country that qualified to the WC and don't have a new kit revealed. I expect something similar to Nigeria since we always had the second grade kits/templates from adidas.

The United States doesn't have a new kit, Italy hasn't had a new kit was for the Confederations Cup (there will be a new one in 2010), Australia, North and South Korea, the Netherlands, Brazil, Serbia, Chile, Switzerland, Slovakia, Honduras, and New Zealand don't have kits.

So there are a number of teams that still need kit for the World Cup.

Nigeria is not a strong side anymore in Africa-Ali F

That is bogus. Tunisia have made the last couple of cups so obviously that's a tough team to have in your group. Kanu still plays occasionally with the national team and while being good can't hold a candle to Yak, Obinna, Mikel or Martins. If Egypt beat Algeria then the five strongest sides in Africa have qualified. Name another that's better. Nigeria deserve better kits.

Not much effort gone into this one is there? Blimey. Real half arsed: 'oh that'll do it's only Nigeria..... oh cripes. What?Really? They've qualified!' Maybe I'm just being churlish though. Oops You'll have to excuse me I've left the trouser press on.

Nottingham Forest. Is that last part of your post an indictment against Adidas? implying that cocaine has somehow ruined their football kit design? Or is it merely a personal statement of the joys of refreshing yourself with a bit of 'censored dust' after every entry you submit?

Here's a better picture of the Super Eagles' home shirt >> http://www.worldsoccershop.com/41029.html

The pic posted on this website doesn't look like the official one. That's why we were all complaining it looked bland and unoriginal.

It's actually quite decent. I also noticed the unique side patterns of the jersey that no other country has on its jersey.
