Paris Saint-Germain 10/11 Nike Away Shirt

Here is the new Paris Saint-Germain away shirt for the 2010/2011 Ligue 1 season manufactured by Nike.

I know many of you will be a little shocked to read that this is the away shirt for PSG but for one season only to celebrate their 40th year anniversary since their founding, the Paris side will be once again playing in a red home shirt, just as they did back in 1970.

The away shirt is dark blue and sees a return to a central red stripe with white outline, something many PSG fans were unhappy with the previous season. The white outline is given a unique twist with it featuring what appears to be Nike's new trademark 'lightning' effect, giving a jagged look.

The shirt also see the return of a folded collar much like those of the newest Atlético Madrid and Celtic shirts. Near the collar on the back of the shirt is the text 'PSG' reflecting the initials of the club and the founding date.

Colours of the shorts appear to be the same colour blue as the shirt, the socks colour is as of yet unknown but it can be guessed that they will also be the same blue colour.

Nothing too exciting or groundbreaking but looks nice enough.
It's yet further confirmation of the new Man Utd home.

pretty nice to be honest. I have a feeling they will sell far more of this than the home kit............

Wasted by the massive Fly Emirates logo, just like Arsenal's, which makes it look like a Fly Emirates t-shirt rather than PSG. The red stripe should be front and back, and preferably unbroken. PSG's strip should be better than this.

Our central Red & White stripe is finally back!
This is how all PSG shirts should be...every years (except those weird lightning effects on the white outlines)!
The Home shirt should looks like this :

Allez Paris!

Actually, PSG had a dark blue shirt with red pinstripes for home last year. It was 2 and 3 years ago that they had the red and white stripe down the middle.

40 years doesnt seem anything worth having a commerative red home shirt for .
The jagged white line looks stupid and pointless .

I actually like these kits. However, I get the feeling that those jagged white stripes won't look as nice on the field. In these pictures, they give the shirt a nice, modern look to it, however the one thing they could do better is maybe make the Fly Emirates logo a bit smaller. Overall, a nice jersey.

How about you actually read the article 'Foxx'!
Muppet.

Great shirt.

Looking forward to the red. I hope they bring the 80's White Home kit soon.

It is a very nice shirt but the huge sponsor lets it down massively.

They should have done what Inter and Man City did and place the sponsor below the Nike swoosh and make it 20 times smaller.

I'm assuming they meant home shirt. got me confused for a second!

don't know what to think of it. it's close to being boring nike kit, but the jagged lining of the stripe gives it a nice subtle touch.
I'm even more confused!
don't know if i like it or not!

I never liked the way the stripe on PSG shirts has been broken by its main shirt sponsor. Couldn't the "Fly Emirates" lettering be printed in gold and placed over the stripe without the need for that navy blue block behind it? Or is it some FIFA/Ligue 1 regulation that requires the sponsor name to be as legible as possible?

Besides my gripes with the sponsor cutting the stripe, I quite like the shirt, although I would have preferred a non-polo collar.

It will be hard to get used to this as the away shirt, but I can dig the 40th anniversary thing.
