PSV Eindhoven 10/11 Nike Home Kit

This is the new PSV Eindhoven shirt for the 2010/2011 Eredivisie season produced by Nike.

The shirt is red and white stripes, a combination that has become synonymous with PSV over the past 20 years, but this hasn't always been the case. All the way up to the early 90's PSV actually wore solid red shirts.

Inside of these stripes are small chequers marks, these are nothing to do with PSV sympathising with Croatia or anything like that, they actually represent the flag of North Brabant, the area of the Netherlands that Eindhoven is located within, which just so happens to be two rows of red and white chequers. Inside of the collar reads “Eendracht maakt macht”, which roughly translates into English as "Strength Through Unity".

The PSV shorts and socks are black and white respectively. The shorts contain a small amount of white in the familiar Nike style from the 2010/11 range, running parallel down either side of the shorts. The socks feature two red bands around the bottom, on the front is the Nike swoosh and on the rear of them their is the PSV writing from inside the logo.

Thanks to Niels, Jordi, Jeroen and Robin

Me too, I think this is the best PSV kit I've ever seen. It's fantastic, just brilliant.

Good luck to PSV next season in this beautiful kit.

I have seen some far-east fake versions of it and if anything this PSV shirt confirms that the fakers have copied the correct design. Pics posted on the forum here.

nothing special. I like the strip of white down the sides of the shorts with the black running through it. The shirt is pretty standard, i like this new thing that nike are doing with the stripes, changing it up a little and i really like that collar.

The collar is different in the second photo... it's way wider (look at the stripes it overlaps)

PSV have been using a red-white striped jersey much longer than since the early nineties. The only time they didn't use it was during the 80's because of commercial reasons Before and since than they have used this design.

Nice shirt by the way. Best one in a long time.

Love the checkered pattern in the stripes. PSV is finally getting good and special shirts by nike.

Loved the away last year and this is a great follow up

By the way I am an Ajax fan.

Just saying that I realised we are getting screwed by adidas....again

Adidas plase note: This is how you get creative with red and white stripes, not like that pig's arse you've given Stoke.

Although i'm an AFC Ajax fan, i gotta say i recognize the historical attributes in the shirt like the checkers in the red stripes, which are the same checkers of the flag of Brabant, the province the city of PSV, Eindhoven is in. very beautiful shirt!

is the only difference from last season the checkered parts in the red? It is nice but it looks so much like all their home kits. I am just curious about the opinions of those that get all PSV kits as what would be the difference?

It is nice though.

Nothing new about it. Nike didn't lose time trying to be creative. But the PSV's colors are quite nice: the red and white stripes on the shirt together with the black shorts make a good kit (just like Sunderland or Athletic Bilbao).

Just got it in the mail today and I give it a 9/10 because it is extremely high quality, but it is very long. I think it is a fantastic jersey.
