rangers 10-11 umbro home kit

Rangers have officially unveiled the Club's new home kit for season 2010/11 made by Umbro.

Supporters can pre-order the new Tennent's Lager sponsored strip from Thursday 27 May at the Rangers JJB Megastore at Ibrox Stadium.

The Club invited supporters to provide feedback on key features they would like to see and the overriding feeling was to reflect previous kits.

As a result the 2010/11 home kit harks back to the Bill Struth era of the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's and features a distinctive white collar. The top is complemented by traditional Rangers black socks with red trim and the classic white shorts.

Andy Kerr, President of the Rangers Assembly, commented: "The fans are always asking for retro style kit to be brought out and this one with the white collar goes back in time to the Bill Struth Era, it should prove really popular with our support."

Rangers and celtic have had the same sponsors for a while.

NTL
Carling
Tennents

It's really for the simple reason that, if one team was sponsored by a company say O2, lots of opposing fans would boycott O2.

Scotland's shame? You know, it'd stick a little better if it wasn't for the fact that your support is infested with IRA sympathisers, your club hadn't covered up child abuse to stop your 'great name' being sullied, and your stadium hadn't been shut down during world war 2 for supporting the nazi's (all in the past? You're the only team in Britain last season that couldn't hold a minute's silence for the brave soldiers of that war). Truly, the most repugnant sporting organization on Earth. This is a football shirt blog, respect this site by commenting on "shirts" and keeping your old firm commentary bollocks away from such sites like this. CASIO you thick pr!ck,

I think you'll find Celtic did respect the minute silence (which has no place in football grounds) last year against Falkirk and even wore poppys on their tops if I remember correctly? There was bawbags outside the ground, but every supporter within the ground kept it shut, so stop talking shite.

Secondly, Celtic were all set to report that cvnt after big Jock physically booted his hole out the door when he found out what was happening, but respected the victims families wishes not to, but don't let the truth get in the way of your warped views. Seriously though, It really does take the lowest sort of scumbag to resort to point scoring over something as serious as child abuse and after what your ex-club captain was geting up to and all. I would have thought your support alone would rise above it, but no here you stupid cvnts are making a joke of it.

Thirdly, IRA sympathisers? Whit? Aye, I'll admit we have our cretins too, but I can assure you our idiot supporters are far outnumbered by the good ones. I don't think Rangers can say the same myself. The vast majority are total clowns.

The stadium being shut down story is alot of shite and has been made up by your typical huns with big imaginations (whats new eh?).

Like the guy said above Rangers = Scotlands shame and your fans can't be taken anywhere because they're a national embarassment.

Oh and that strip is a fvcking mess, but it's nice to see old Davie running out with his younger brothers in that heartwarming photo up the top there.

Green tinted specs alert.
Why, oh why is there no place for respectful silences?
And i dont see how the shirt being so simple yet stylish can be a "mess" Compared to Celtics eye soare pattern on the hhoops and fhanny pad color, it looks simply the best.

I actually really like this shirt. Very retro and styling. Gonna pre order it.

Also like to say that the away and third look very nice aswell.

And i agree with the person above. This is a football shirt forum. For all you sectarian idiots on both sides of the old firm shut up and go somewhere else. I'm a diehard rangers fan. Season ticket in the govan front. But I do not agree with this king William shit. And too all Celtic fans refering to rangers fans as Huns. When the war was on it was infact the Irish who left there lights on to show the path towards britain during the war. So if anyone it's the Celtic fans and Irish who are the real Huns. As if you know your history Hun was a nickname for the Nazi Germany.

But comment on shirts and not sectatian shite.

Anyone refering to the ibrox disaster is a sick individual. I can only wish death upon you as there's only one place you deserve to be for your remarks.

No Celtic fans can't observe a minutes silence. Voices were heard within the Falkirk stadium and also at ibrox stadium. You are sickos of the highest order.

And to the guy who said about Celtic wanted to come out about what was going on within Celtic park. How on earth would you know that. Did you work within Celtic. Stop making excuses for your clubs mistakes. Sweep sweep. Under the carpet.

I'm not a fan of either of the old firm. Both sets of fans are just as bad as eachother. But it's been shown in this thread that's there's more sick Celtic fans than rangers fans in here.

Pele,

We can't observe a minutes silence? Don't talk pish we observed about three for the Queen Mother when she died and I'll say it again. The fans within the ground at the Falkirk game observed the minutes silence impeccably, I should know I was there. Nothing can be done about idiots outside the ground and yes a silence has NO place inside a football ground. If you want to pay respect then fvcking do it elsewhere.

As for the minutes silence at Ibrox during the OLD FIRM game (what smart guy came up with that idea) from last season that I see keeps getting brought up. The vast majority of Celtic fans stayed quiet. There were a few idiots on both sides might I add, but what do you expect when people are full of drink? It was madness to have it during an Old Firm game anyway and even the players family asked for a minutes applause.

It would seem it's not just the Rangers fans that like to point score over certain issues, but the idiots all the way at the top of the club aswell.

Did they not bring out some war veteran during half time aswell? In some pathetic attempt to get a reaction out of the Celtic fans, but it didn't work. Must try harder next season Rangers. If your still in business that is.

Oh and on the subject of the child abuse from the early 70s. It wasn't swept under the carpet you retard. The victims family did NOT want it being made public, Now I know you have fanbase with very low IQ's, but fvcking hell it isn't hard to undertsand.

Christ it was Fergus McCann that made it public during the 90s to clear it up any misunderstandings on the subject. How do I know this you ask? Well it's quite simple really, even for you lot. I'm actually interested in my own club and know it's history (the good and bad parts) and I don't have a unhealthy obsession with my rivals across the city.

Now I know it's hard to take that we're a bigger club now than you, but just take it like men and stop trying to smear our great name by making up rubbish.

Just mention Rangers to anybody outwith Scotland and ask them what they associate that name with and i'm pretty sure they'll tell you idiots that can't be taking anywhere because they're trouble... always been the case and always will be unfortunately. Manchester anyone? Barcelona? Bucharest?

Kelto.

You are the prime example of the word retard.

You obviously can't read a post preoperly as I said I wasn't a fan of either of the old firm. Must try harder next time mate.

Second of all I watched the Celtic v Falkirk game. There was infact noice coming from the terracing. I'm sorry but microphones pick up everything mate. Again must try harder.

Third of all if rangers want to have a minutes silence for a player that used to represent them no matter what game it's upto them. So no it isn't a stupid idea and should be respected no matter the fixture.

Fourth point. It is a known fact that it was infact swept under the carpet to the world so it wouldn't tarnish the name of glasgow Celtic. Again were you directly involved in the situation? I think not. As your proberly about 18.

Another point to come out with. Rangers are a bigger club than Celtic. To come out with such crap is laughable. Rangers have a world record league titles and trophys all in. And were the first British club to appear in a European final. As one of their managers once said. You will always be in their shadows. And they welcome the chase as celtic will never catch them.

So try again. Come back with something now you imbred twat.

And come back with something that doesn't state I'm a rangers fan as I'm not and I don't support Celtic either. But I now know who I respect alot better.

Really think the new man city shirt should have this design. Really like the 70's styling. Umbro have stepped up to the plate recently, producing much nicer shirts than anyone else. The god awful adidas shirts which we're not going to be able to avoid this world cup aren't good enough to wipe my arse with. The Scotland strip is the worst of the lot. Definitely one i wont be buying!!!!

Pele,

For a guy that doesn't support Rangers you certainly seem a little defensive of them. Closet hun here I think.

You pull me up for not reading a post. Well d!ckhead. Read my post I never said Rangers shouldn't be allowed a minutes silence for one of their own players. All I said is that it was a crazy decision to have it before an Old Firm game and even the players family wanted a minutes applause.

I did say however that any war memorial or similar nonesense has no place in a football ground, it has no connection to football at all and if you care about it so much then do it somewhere else. Instead of trying to pathetically point score over it as usual.

Also I can assure you the noise picked up from the camaras was from OUTSIDE the ground, but we'll never agree on that with you being a closet hun like you are.

It's a 'known fact' is it? From who exactly? Scumbag Rangers fans with too much time on their hands?

I'll say it again retard. McCann brought it to light in the 90s, and the scumbag was dealt with and like I said before the victims families didn't want it being made public at the time of the abuse, if we were so worried about our name then, WHY was it Fergus McCann that brought it to light? These animals can pop up anywhere at any time, so I wouldn't gloat about these thing if I were you, but again being the closet hun you are we'll never agree.

Oh and I'm 21 actually and judging on your posts here, I probably have more sense and brains in my arse than you have in your entire body.

Rangers have a world record league titles. Good for them, but do you think anyone actually takes it fvcking serious? It's basically a two team league and they had a 20 year headstart on us and they may have been the first British club to appear in a European final, but remind who was the first to win in a European final? Oh dear, it must be very cold in that massive shadow.

Imbred? Do you mean 'inbred' and no none of that here, but fvck knows what goes on over in Govan. Judging by the looks of their fans, it's something seriously fvcked up anyway. Either they must be putting heroin in their fvcking water or as you incorrectly put it they're 'imbred'.

I'd have loved to have came back and said your not a Rangers fan mate, I really would have, but with so much hatred and bile being spouted there along with the seriously poor punctuation and spelling, it's hard not to think your a closet hun.

keltoi89, for someone who's argument against the minute's silence is it's nothing to do with football, you talk a lot about us being huns. How is that any different? I don't believe in all this sectarian sh*t from either side. I'm a rangers fan and a protestant, but it's not part of the football, and I'm not orange. You want to make your point, stop contradivting yourself. Both you and pele need to give it a rest, neither of you know what's truly happenned in the past as both of you have just read about it from a biased perspective. This is a site about football shirts, so take you invalid argument elsewhere. The kit looks fantastic by the way, will be getting it for sure

rfc_davis#1,

I'm confused here. How have I contradicted myself?

Why is calling Rangers fans 'Huns' in any way got anything to do with not agreeing with war memorials taking place inside a football ground? It's just the way they're referred to by our support and when you read it's meaning it fits well.

I'm not against a minutes silence for a clubs former player, but having one against your main rivals before one of the most heated derbies in the World. Which even the players family were against is just plain stupid, so just to clarify i'm NOT against a minute silence taking place in a football ground within reason, so don't put words in my mouth.

They can't say in one breath that political songs can't be sung citing them as having no place in football whilst allowing that pish to take place. Which in my opinion is also highly political and has no place in football.

Fair enough about it being a football shirt website, but I only came to this page to check your new strip when I seen lies being spouted about my club, so what do you do eh?

I agree with you on the fact the things that have nothing to do with football should stay outside the football, including a minute's silence for something that is completely irrelevant to the game, I never argued with you there. All I was saying was that calling Rangers fans huns brings elements into it that you're arguing against. I don't call Celtic fans tims, but I know most do. I just think everything politcal and religious should be kept out of it, it's stupid on all sides. The word hun hasn't anything to do with football as it is a religious term, so from my point of view, it doesn't fit. So i'm not doing the whole I'm right and your wrong because you're a Celtic fan thing, I'm saying you either accept the political stuff that unfortunately does go on in football, all disagree with all of it. And I do understand where you're coming from, people talk sh*t, and it's irritating. It doesn't matter what side you sit on, you see stuff said on both sides that is completely just pulled out of someone's ar*e

Keito you just repeat most of the names i call you. have i got a parret here. Like i said your the defintion of a retard.

And to that other censored that said about spelling. You cant even spell knew in your name you censoreding spastic.

And yes keito i do not support rangers as i am english and support newcastle united.

But ill tell you now i have more respect for rangers fans than i do for the inbred celtic fans and that wont change. Rangers fans brought one of the best ever atmospheres to st james park during the gateshead tournament. I come in here and all i hear is bile from you and your fellow inbred arseholes.

First of all no the cameras didnt pick up noice from outside the stadium it was picked up from within the stadium. Its ok keep sweeping shit under the carpet mate.

2nd of all i was smarter than you are now when i was a day old you twat.

Big jock knew and thats fact and censored all got done about it. 21 years of age. So how do you know all this stuff about your club? It wouldnt be publicised anywhere so there would be know where to bring up that fergus mccann or celtic as a club wanted it brought to the publics attention.

And i think by dealt with your meaning the wee boys who were naughty in the showers. Who were touched up.

Where you touched up as a boy? Maybe thats why your so defensive.

Not even gonna reply or even read your reply as you keep repeating shit. Newcastle 2 stay up and rangers 3 in a row. Coz celtic are shit and neil lennons your manager lol.

Pele,

I'm only repeating subjects you brought up in your post when replying to me. What do you expect me to do you tool?

I see your a Geordie well that explains a lot of the bad punctuation and idiotic views on your part then, but tell me how do you know the noise picked up on the TV was from inside the ground?

I was at the game and like I said everyone in the stand was quiet. There were bawbags outside like the Green Brigade for example who think they're being martyrs acting up, but they were outside the ground and didn't come in till the game started. I'm sure you would have seen the stand was half empty while watching it on the TV.

You can respect Rangers fans more all you want. It doesn't bother me any and likewise out of the N.E. clubs in England I prefer Sunderland and their fans. They're a much better team with a much better manager and their fans aren't overweight, unemployed, idiots who're on the dole.

Once again you tool. I know these things because I've supported the club all my life and it's common knowledge that Fergus McCann brought the subject to light in the mid 90s, but by all means you just continue to slander a dead Scottish and Celtic legends name. (one that helped dying Rangers fans onto stretchers during the Ibrox disaster, but thats all forgotten about now).

You last comment is a joke and not even worth commenting on. I think it shows your true level of intelligence. (not a lot is it... I'm guessing you failed all your exams at school? Certainly English anyway).

RFC_Davis#1, It's nice to come across a decent Rangers fan for once and one that at least has a good grasp of English and can reply without resorting to name calling.

Unlike that idiot above.

Funny enough you seen to have it in your stupid tiny celtic infested bigoted mind that Rangers fans are all on the dole , heres a FACT instead of your stupid childish assumptions , i have 5 celtic fans in my street , 5 , and every one of them is on the dole , only 1 overweight though , they sit on 1 anothers doorsteps drinking there kiddy wine just basically being twats " you know, typical celtic supporters really " so in TRUTH celtic really ARE Scotlands shame and not just an running joke , I say Scotlands shame , what i really mean is Irelands leper brother shame

lol yeah cfc bhoy 94 I also took the time to read them all too!

Pretty funny how heated it all gets, I am a Rangers fan, 21, and I also hate all the bigoted shite that goes with both sides of the old firm. Sometimes I even wonder if it's worth continuing to support the gers as I always feel a need to defend myself so that people don't always assume that I'm a Queen lovin', union jack wavin', irish hating orange bastard!!! Fact is, I LOVE SCOTLAND, I am SCOTTISH 1st, EUROPEAN 2nd, and, well, not to cause any heart attacks amongst the majority of gers fans, but I have never and never will feel british!!! britishness is an english based culture that has crept across the other home nations (unfortunately scotland the most) and therefore doesn't represent me or scots in general. I HATE my clubs UK/Royal family association and I HATE the waste of money and space ENGLISH royal family. Historicaly speaking Rangers only ties to the queen are through bigotry so as to directly contradict celtic fans who have genuine reasons to feel irish, mainly cause they were started by irish priests in the east of glasgow to raise money for local poor people (Correct me if wrong please!) and thus have irish roots but are still a scottish team above all else!

Was unsure about the top at first, but it's slowly growing on me and I'll probably buy it soon.
