Shit club who won most of their titles with a big hand from their number one fan, General Franco the Spanish Dictator.

Absolute bunch of censoreds to a man. If you like this club you need your head examined.

The only pleasant thing I can add to this thread is that having the adidas equipment logo opposite the club logo is something I've missed, and welcome back with open arms.
Why they thought Asymetrical design was good I'll never know.

I strongly believe that any trim on a Real Madrid jersey should be the same shade of violet as the diagonal band in the crest.

-7 # Gorgias 2010-04-30 21:16
Haven`t you seen the crest? They changed the color some time ago, it`s blue now, Royal Blue. Back in the 07/08 kit with those horrible violet lines, the band on the crest was blue.
Only complain is why, why, why WHY?!! they cut the stripes on the shoulders?

Boring?
What do you want for a Real Madrid kit? red pois?
Adidas did again the only thing they must do for a Real Madrid kit: violet 3 stripes: violet like the diagonal band in the crest. Violet like in 80's and in 90's.
I hope it will last more than a year, so not like in 2007/08 when the violet has been soon replaced by the boring black in 2008/09

-9 # Gorgias 2010-04-30 21:22
Are you blind? Violet?! Well, what can you expect from people who saw Man Utd's away Chevron like Man Citys light blue?

+1 # 2010-05-10 14:42
Yes, violet, the diagonal band has been violete always until about 6 years ago when they (Florentino) changed it...don´t know why, but the band should be Violet representing Castilla.

This is pretty nice. How much can you do with an all white kit? No team suits all white better than Real, the only other team to come close is Santos.

On the trim colour, its not really clear from the photo, and it depends on the monitor you view the photo though, but if the colour is a shade of blue like Violet, then thats a good thing. The shade of purple fits in better with Real, and gives the shirt more class than using black or blue

Some one says that should be violet instet of blue.
Why do you think they have BLUE seats in Santiago Bernabeu? and why do you think the have a BLUE stripe in thier logo?
But I really like it , spcially because of the blue stripe.
Best shirt in long time !

The diagonal band in the crest has been always violet as it was worn thru the jersey in 1902, with black shorts and socks. It was changed in 2000 when F. Perez became the President. The adidas classic tees from the 80's had 3 violet stripes until 1995, when kelme became the main sponsor, but they kept using violet. When adidas came back in 1998, they introduced black stripes, and the band of the crest became blue. Since that year, violet stripes were only used in 2007-2008 home jersey, but keeping the blue band in the crest.

To this day many madridistas are still in denial.

When adidas regained RM's contract, RM changed their shield stripe to an intense BLUE and many missed it. Part of the trick was changing to a similar color for many to miss it.

To this day many madridistas wear purple and raise flags with purple at the Bernabeu making it look like the Artemio Franchi (For Fiorentina). Dudes, 1st your team is WHITE and second purple/violet is G.O.N.E.

Since 1998, of the more than 30 kits used, only THREE had purple/violet. Hello!? Oh, and look at the BLUE stadium and the BLUISH website.

Before 1981 the away shirt was actually blue.

I'd be extremely surprised if those stripes are purple. Extremely. RM wants nothing to do with violet/purple anymore.

Before 1981, the away shirt for Real was purple/Violet. In the 1950s, the team wore a blue/violet away shirt

That first link... that is blue, big guy. No way that's purple.

As for Toffs, they eventually released a corrected blue retro. They got confused back in the day as you did.

Prettayyy good. Much better than this year's shirt.

A nice kit for such a bunch of tossers! I wonder who will get the honour of knocking them out of the Champions League Last 16 this time around?

Let's hope they win censored-all yet again!

IMHO - I think Real Madrid should have just PLAIN white shirts with no contrasting trim or sponsors whatsoever. The all-white of Madrid just exudes history, tradition and excellence.

Much like Barca and the dark blue/red stripes. Both of which the most distinctive club colours in all of football. With Celtic, Boca and River Plate coming into that bracket too.

NO WAY!!! There has to be a MASSIVE video of how someone from adidas sat and looked at the history and spoke to fans and the shape of the stadium and the history of the badge and the angle of the sun and stuff before creating a white real shirt............................

DO ONE ADIDAS...............AGAIN
