I concur. It must be the away shirt. The word that comes to mind for the design is 'non-descript'.

This is exactly the same design that Nigeria refused to wear. Adidas should take a hint.

They did wear that one in the ACN, because adidas had no time to remake shirts for that tournament.

This is the new home shirt. The color was changed because the damn sponsor asked to. This looks like crap. but this is Romania a censoreding country, who sells his tradition for money. We will always be in yellow. Worst kit ever for Romania

From what I read in the Romanian press, our NT will play in red as home colors from now on. It's a try to refresh our image.
But this is quite generic...they all were beginning with 2002. :(

3stripes, no... romania has historically played in red too.

It was a change announced since 2 years ago; refused then, it appears to have been implemented now.

yes home shirt red because the sponsor is a beer company and in the new contract with the romanian federation it has a clause that they would play in red shirts...that's why it;s red...

That is the worse Adidas kit I've seen in a while.
They got it right with Germany but this one is disgusting.
What is with the purple lines all over it? Did they paint a snail and let it crawl across the shirt?

I'm waiting for a blue or black away kit now.....

unfortunately this is the HOME shirt .... because some managers at our football federation had decided that the yelow shirt bring us bad luck . Romania had played in red from 1982 to 1986 , but from then on the red shirt brought us only bad luck , at the world cup in 1994 we had lost in the 1/4 finals with sweden, at the world cup in 1998 in France we had lost in the 1/8 finals with croatia , and in the group stages we had made a draw with tunis ... and all of these games were played in red shirts .... YELOW is Romanias national team color , and i think that they make a huge mistake if they change it . AND THE SHIRT IS VERY UGLY.

So the fact that they played badly had nothing to do with it?

We here at the Romanian FA are delighted with the standard of the new Adidas shirt.

As we are living in tough economic times, we are incredibly grateful to Spain for these high quality hand-me-downs.

Cheers!

The guys from the Federation are some bribed idiots.
The signed with a new sponsor a year back, a Beer company that asked for the shirts too be red since the last sponsor was also a beer and since then the new guys thought the people will still recon it as the old one.
Probably they bribed the guys to change the shirt color to red with not actual reason, at first they said they would only do it for the away kits and eventually play friendly games at home in red.

that is definitely the home, dont know why they went with red; but maybe they want a change. Although this jersey would be nicer in their traditional yellow; but regardless they went with the red. Oh well i still support them either way and in the end its about the team and skill, not about the jersey....although they have not been doing well since the euros
