Seattle Sounders 2010 adidas third kit

The Seattle Sounders FC revealed their third kit today at the team's Pro Shop at Pacific Place.

The third kit is Electricity, highlighted by Rave Green trim. The uniform also features a one-color Sounders FC badge on the left chest.

"A third kit is traditional among many international soccer clubs," said Sounders FC owner and general manager Adrian Hanauer.  "We will wear the third kit for international friendlies, possibly for some cup matches, and whenever Sigi feels like the "electricity" might bring us a result."

The performance design cues carry over with adidas FORMOTION and CLIMACOOL.  FORMOTION technology allows the uniforms to move naturally with the athlete's body resulting in ideal comfort while in motion. CLIMACOOL technology combines moisture wicking fabric with strategically placed mesh material in the player's heat zones to keep the athlete at optimum temperature.

"These are really great kits," said Sounders FC forward Fredy Montero. "We are going to help the stadium save money on the electricity bill."

I think Seattle is "claiming" yellow so Portland will be forced to go with something else when they join the league next year (and get back at them for copying the Sounders' green kit back in 1975). And maybe so Columbus will have to wear their away kit at Qwest Field.

Like the details in the new Adidas template. I wouldn't wear it but my gf might.

While it is nice to see MLS teams with third kits, this is just horrific. Well, at least their supporters that buy these won't have to worry about being hit by a car walking around at night. Perhaps they'll hand these out to Seattle cross guards or construction workers.

interesting to say the least. Not sure why they need a third kit seeing as no one in the MLS clashes with both blue and green. They can't have enough international friendlies to justify creating a new shirt for them.

They apparently have to have a 3rd choice kit for CONCACAF Champions league.

Nice easy way to cash in by making a hugely dull kit.

Was expecting a 3rd shirt. Many people are Blue/Green colour blind. I'm not and I still found the home and away far too similar

They will be playing in the CONCACAF Champions League this season though, so it's possible that they might get paired with Santos Laguna or Monterrey or Cruz Azul and need a more contrasting kit

If this were the home or away kit, I'd hate it. But to me, third kits should be a bit controversial, trying something new. So I like this.

im not a adidas fan. i hate adidas templates used in mls but i do like the colours. its different than all the other mls kits which all feature white away kits. i like the colour but dont like the template.

but what i really want is for mls clubs to just go back to picking their own kit brands. this colour would go great with manchester u's nike template. but over all i like the colour. i like what freddy said about the kit thoug haha

I freaking love it! I dont really like the onces we have now but I might pick this up. As much as I hate Chel$ea I loved their jersey that was this similar color a few years back. 3rd kits should be "out there" anyways.

Look like Funyun Bags.

Every year I become more disappointed with the Sounders.

1. The name should've been Seattle FC or Emerald City FC.

2. The Seattle FC logo was better.

3. The colors suck and are nothing more than an XBox marketing ploy because Paul Allen co-owns Microsoft and the Sounders.

4. They let Drew Carey have a marching band.

5. They let Le Toux go, and keep useless and slow Jaqua.

6. They play on turf.

7. These horrible 3rd kits.

Seattle fans keep buying into this crap!
