sheffield united 10-11 macron home shirt

This is the new look Sheffield United home football shirt made by Macron.

The long-awaited home shirts, as modelled by midfielder Nick Montgomery, will be shortly available to fans.

The design sees a return to the popular slightly thinner red and white stripes on the front and the back. The shirts feature a closed V-neck without a collar, white panelling under the arms, red and white stripes on the sleeves with black trim and an improved sponsor's logo.

Embroidered on the back of the Macron designed shirt, just below the neck line, is the word Blades.

Operations Manager Emma Wylie said: "The shirt has been a long time coming. We are disappointed for our fans that the kit will be going on sale later than wished for, but a number of factors in the last few months have caused issues for our supplier.

"The shirt has a modern look around the neck and features on the front seven rather than five visible stripes which continue on the back - a feature regularly highlighted by the fans as a must have in feedback."

Thanks to Matthew and Marcus

The shirt isn't that bad, but the big white space is way too big and ruins the shirt

Think it looks great, although I think the white bit for the sponsor is too big

all the time mate!
as for the top - i hate the big space for the sponsor. stripes/hoops should never be broken for a sponsor

Fantastic shirt IMO. Think Macron have come up trumps with this design as it features the evenly spaced 7 stripe front. and stripes on the sleeves instead of the solid block sleeves of last years effort.

The only thing that lets the shirt down in my opinion is the width/depth of the white hoop for the sponsors logo. If this is slightly narrower, it would be perfect. However, i understand that this is to make the sponsor more visible. Which, at the end of the day, if you're paying money to have your company's name on the shirt, you want it to be seen.

Other than that, i think it's a brilliant shirt. Traditional, and unfussy

tbh, i think it looks more than a fair bit like some of nike's collars from 06 (brazil & hertha berlin, for example.)

ffs how come the home shirt is chaging YET AGAIN?

The design isn't even that different to the last one, why can't they keep a shirt for more than one year like other teams. People are getting sick and tired of forking out money every season. The last time we kept a shirt for more than one season was 6 years ago!

They've changed so much over the years United. They don't care about the fans just money!

Totally agree goldeneye. Only interested in profit profit profit, it makes me sick to be a Sheff Utd fan. I personally like the shirt but won't be getting it. Was the last shirt we kept for more than a season the Le Coq - Desun one?

United doing nothing to subvert expectations of a shoddy kit that would look more suited to a pub team than professional football outfit such as the grunters.
