Shrewsbury Town Reveal 125th Anniversary Kit Plans

Shrewsbury Town 125th anniversary kit

Shrewsbury Town will be celebrating the 125th year of STFC with an 125th anniversary football kit for next season.

The Club will revert back to the very first playing strip which the Shrews adopted way back in 1888 (The first recorded team wear) which will be a blue shirt, white shorts and blue socks.

The Club feels that this is the best way to honour the emergence of STFC as a professional football club and will the start of many celebrations throughout the year.

The Club is currently negotiating the supplier details and will update further on this issue in due course. The shirt will be the home shirt for the 2010 - 2011 season.

For season 2011 - 2012 the club will produce 3 or 4 designs which will be put to the supporter's to comment on/vote on.

For clarity the plan will be to follow the schedule below.

Season 2010 - 2011
New Centenary Shirt - New Away Shirt

Season 2011 - 2012
New Home Shirt Only

Season 2012 - 2013
Away Shirt Only

2013- 2014
New Home , New Away Dependant on Supplier Contract

I hope that's sarcasm, cos the club plagiarised it from Microsoft clipart gallery. For this reason, I won't ever buy anything with this logo on it.

I don't like it. The fact that the mane is badly cropped is another diminishing factor.

Someone has far too much time on their hands if they can compare a drawing they've seen to a club crest.

As for the kit, it's a good idea. Could be a classic with Umbro and a tailored fit.

They play at the Prostar stadium in a Prostar kit so I'd be surprised if they had a tailored kit by Umbro.

It is a new badge they brought out a few years ago and it was fairly obvious it had been taken from clipart.
