It's missing the Protea badge that all South African teams now wear (which will be on the left side of the jersey).

It will not be featured on replica versions due to costs apparently. The South African president wasn't happy about this.

The players shirts will feature the Protea as always though.

Really? I hope they'll be putting on the protea badge on the newer batch... with the home kit selling for R600, it would be "reasonable" to have them included...

I suppose the badge will be added to the unveiled shirt. Overall a quite nice shirt, really like that collar

Simple base but the inserts added on the bottom and the collar make this shirt classy

it's not finished yet(the logo) but the work is so far good

They're not going to wear this during the World Cup, obviously, since the host nation always wears their home kits.

Actually they are listed as the away team to France but France have blue which you usually wouldn't see against green I would think but the blue on the France kit may be dark enough for them to wear it. I like this jersey. It's simple but nice.

oops, apparently not
what's the deal with adidas favourtism when it comes to shirts? is it because they know that the SA shirt will sell less than the big european countries?

It will on some player versions, just this picture of the shirt doesn't contain it.

I doubt it'll have the same x-type stitching like France's kit does. If you look closely you can see the same detail of the South African flag in the fabric of the shirt as is in the home kit.

Some versions will have it. It is down to player preference.

Here is the home kit with the Techfit http://www.shopadidas.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3846021&shopGroup=R&cp=2019627.2039608.2039612.2409485&colorId= if you zoom in you will see it also has the South African flag in the shirt.

Well said. I was hoping adidas would produce something as decent as their first choice. This one is awful

Without techfit I give it 3/10, with techfit it would be 10/10.

Vod knockers you are right man. However, 'Doosh: "with techfit it would be 10/10" I suggest you get into auto errotic asphixiation and stop being such an twaat. Gazhorn.

As a south africa fan im disapointed to see them use the reverse colours of the home, the away should be white aswell, up untill 2009 it was white with green..... if its not broke dont fix it
